      It's funny to me that I never had Sambuca even once while in Italy. It was all wine, beer, and Grappa. 

       

      I spent part of spring in coastal eastern France one year, and while there acquired a taste for Pastis. A few oz over ice topped with fresh water makes for a refreshing beverage.

       

      One day I'll be in the Greek Islands drinking ouzo, it's just the way it goes. I'm absolutely dying to return to Italy.
