I'll be the first to admit that after the 2011 playoffs my admiration for the Sedin's was wearing thin when they failed to rise to the occasion and get it done in the final. Especially after going up 2-0 in the series. Now though with the changing of the guard and Horvat/Boeser/Baertchi stepping up to be top line I do see a place for them. With all the injuries this year they've really stepped up to fill the void and I've been very impressed with their play making and their command of the play in the corners. Henrik is an expert at taking pucks away in the corner and then creating space for himself to make a play by boxing out opponents. They may no longer be as fast as they once were but they can still hang with the top players in the NHL and I'd like to see them sign on for one more season, the caveat being that they take a pay cut. I think $4m per twin would be fair. At the same time get rid of Louie Erikson's bloated $6m contract and that will free up space to sign Boeser on at a reasonable salary and pick up another 2nd or 3rd line forward.
