    If Dorsett's out, the Canucks should claim either Smith or Varone to be the 13th forward until Dorsett or Rodin are back. Then just waive them again, and nothing's lost.

      Except, likely, what will happen is we waive them. Nobody claims them. then they're stuck in Utica eating cap and a roster spot when we could of just called up Zalewski, LaBate, Chaput, or Megna to begin with.

      I don't think that's a bad thing, Utica doesn't have any high end offensive talent. A guy like Varone or Smith would be a great addition for them since they didn't get Etem.
