There are noticeably less people on campus, probably about a third at least to at most half the normal people moving around. My class of 120ish for Phil 101 is at barely double digit attendance right now.

My classes are still on. *sigh*

I'm hoping for a ton of snow to magically appear between now and tomorrow morning at UVic so I don't have a quiz....and then all the snow disappear mid Thursday so I can take the ferry home. >_>

People really need to stop thinking that 1st Rounders need to jump in immediately or they're a bust. Most 1st Rounders these days take atleast 1 or 2 more years of Junior/College before going to the AHL where they play half or a full season before they get consideration for making the full jump. Canucks fans really need to lower those expectations as all our recent 1st Rounders have been unfairly labelled busts fair too early in their careers. Grabner was apparently a bust, same with Hodgson last year. Patrick White was unfairly labelled a bust upon being drafted (yeah he looks bad now but not then)! I really don't want to see Jensen suffer the same fate next preseason.

...I don't understand how you could have interpreted it that way. Where am I disregarding the events in Japan? All I'm stating here is the reported worst case scenario if a nuclear reactor were to explode. Yes it's more West Coast oriented because the effects to Japan in that scenario are obvious and would be Chernobyl like. Let's just leave it at a misunderstanding and poor word structure of a sentence and forget it. We don't need an argument in this topic right now.

CNN has just said death toll up to 18 now.

Pretty sure Canada and US is included now. Multiple sources such as CNN and Vancouver Sun are reporting it as well now.

Hawaii is about 2 and a half hours away from being hit. At that time, we'll see if it'll reach us.

Lot of conflicting reports right now. I'm on a couple other sites but what the message I'm getting right now is that the US West Coast is under warning but we're fine.
