  1. I have to admit i respect that you can admit that you were wrong about Burrows in the long run and that you now think he should not be bought out. That was very honest and took humility. I also should not have called anyone retarded, but i was just really angry and frustrated at the lack of patience shown by a lot of fans in this city. Burr had had multiple injuries and is not the first player to go through a prolonged slump. He also had given no prior indication he was slowing down in any way. Those type of players usually come out of their funk as Burr did and are back to their old selves. Daniel on the other hand has been slowly declining for a couple of seasons now, ever since the Keith hit. If i am worried about anyone its him.
  2. Where are all the haters saying we should buy Burr out. None of you know anything about hockey and should have to come on this forum and explain why you are so retarted. Stop hidin under your rocks and show some courage.
  3. I hope down under Canuck was watching and is choking on all the hate he and some others have for Burr. Heart and soul of the team, and probably the most liked teammate in that room. Atta boy Burr. Keep it up and you will make a lot of people eat crow. Go Canucks.
  4. Dont worry everybody already knows you hate Burrows more than anyone else. Just curious as to witch rock you will hide under when Burrows does start playing well?. Because if he is playing well you would never admit it.
  5. I totally agree with everything you said. It is however frustrating waiting for him to score when you really like the guy and want to see him succeed. I think he will be fine after the Olympic break. And then alot of people are going to look stupid for saying he was "finished" and "useless".
  6. And your the greatest winner the world has ever seen.
  7. Man you never fail to amaze me we some of the Dumb things you say. Burr has played 20 games this year and has been injured twice. Each time he played a handfull of games and then got injured AGAIN for significant periods of time each time, once he gets up to speed in the next couple of games he will be the same as last year. There has been NO STEADY DECLINE with Burrows. Burrows led the team in scoring last year in the regular season and playoffs AND averaged 28G per year for 4 straight years before that. Not a top six forward? Cant score goals? AAAAHHHHHHHAAAAAAA. YOU just hate Burrows. Every post you have ever made has tried to find something wrong with him and when he led this team and saved the franchise from being the butt of jokes as chokers for the rest of history and the laughing stock of the league, you hid in your hole. GO AWAY TROLL!!!
  8. are you kidding me? thread of the year? man you are full of yourself eh? Cue bass solo? c'mon.
  9. if torts takes away Burr's A while he is injured I hope alot of people like me will show their anger and displeasure.
  10. Thank god no one in te Canucks orginization thinks the way you do. As for any one else could do what he does? how come everytime they try someone else with the Sedins for any period of time it doesn't work?. But that is beside the point. If you were paying attention he had his 2 best games of the playoffs playing with kes against Chicago when he Slayed the Dragon and had 5pts in 2 games. He finished with 9goals 8assists for17pts, 2pts less than Kes and 3 less than Danny!!!. They could very easily need to put him back with Kes in the playoffs if the Sedins get shut down. And Burr is the most Clutch player we have. And Carter is a Cancer. Burr is a far better player salary wise and term and overall!!!. He doesn't have a letter but he is one of the main leaders on the team and part of the inner core.Wake up
  11. I Could not agree more!!!!.Cmon MG do the right thing!!.
  12. Great post!!!. I really hope you are right about everything you said, And given what MG managed to get Burr to sign for(imo it was a bit of a bully tatic to threaten to trade Burr, when all Burr was asking for was 2.5 over three years, one less year and .5mill more per year than what he ended up signing for.) And after all Burr has done for the organization, MG better resign him at the end of his deal. I know Burr has said he only wants to play here, and you Know Burr is not greedy. I think it is the least MG can do, and if he didn't I am sure there would be alot of Angry Canuck fans. I just could not imagine Burr ever playing for another team. But hopefully neither could the management of the Canucks.
  13. I would like to hear what guys like Tony G. at the Sun, who said last year that Burr was not a playoff performer and did not have that extra gear that is needed at playoff time, would say now. Of course Burr had two tears in his shoulder at the time, but in a preview of what he can do in big games when his team really needs him, He had 5pts in the last 4games against the Hawks. With one arm. He has allways been Clutch.
  14. Relax. It's just a tradition (bumping the thread) that was started by fans of Burr and is not a big deal. It is probably the most famous thread on CDC and people like to check in from time to time. So it can be bumped for many different reasons.
  15. Yes because he is the player that alot of fans want to see do well probably more than anyone else, because of what he has gone through to get to where he is now.and because he is a working class type Hero. He is a guy who you just can't help but cheer for, if you are a Canucks fan and if you know what a truly good person he is.
  16. .I am so pumped for the playoffs!!!. I think Burr has gone under appreciated by quite a few people in the media this year just because he hasn't scored quite as many goals. But if you really understand the game you will see that it is much harder for Burr to score this year. Other teams are watching video on their line and I don't think I have seen Burr score one easy tap in goal this year, where as last year and the year before he would always get the odd tap in here or there. What im trying to say is this makes Burr's 24 goals and 22 assists even more impressive because teams are always trying to take away the pass between them. It is much harder for the Sedins to set Burr up, but he still finds a way to help make that line what it is, the top line on the best team in hockey. There are so many reasons why he is the best fit that Im not even going to try to mention them. He also has really only played 56 games because his first ten games were like training camp and preseason because he was coming off a long term Injury, so if you throw out the 2pts he got in those 10 games you have 44pts in the last 56 games. That is a pretty good season by any standards. But for any doubters out there just watch this guy come playoffs, he is going to be a Monster.
  17. Burr is the greatest. Pure heart and soul player. Where do you think the Canucks would be if MG had followed through on his threat to trade Burr at the trade deadline in 08-09?. Nobody ever talks about that, but I think it was one of the worst moves MG has made, trying to bully Burr into a 4 year deal for only 2mill per year. What if Burr had said that is too low, it is basically insulting and then gone to another team. I am quite sure that losing Burr especially at that point when he was just exploding with the twins would have had terrible consequences on the dressing room. Burr is a glue guy and is part of the main core. I think MG should have paid the only 500,000 per year extra that Burr was asking for instead of risking losing a player like him who cannot be replaced. He is one of a kind. Pretty much 100% of the people in the NHL world realize that he is bieng way under paid. They also realize that even if he doesn't play with the Twins he is one of the best top six forwards in the league, just ask MG or AV about his hockey sense or skill not to mention a unparelled work ethic.I just hope he repays Burrs loyalty by keeping him a Canuck for the rest of his Career, like Burr wants. I am sure Burr would not be greedy and if MG offered him a fair contract extension once this one was up, Burr would take it. He has allready given MG a contract for peanuts that takes him through his prime years. It is the least MG can do for a player who has been so loyal, and actually kept his word about taking less money.(unlike some other players)
  18. What a true warrior. Imo him and Kes are the toughest guy's on the team, and Burr is under apreciated by some because he plays with the Twins. He is one of the most well rounded players in the league. By tough I don't mean fighting I mean he will play through anything for the team. Even if it could possibly have negative consequences for his career in the long run. For an example look at the last two playoffs. Broke his hand in first game against the Hawks in 08/09 but said nothing until they pried it out of him after the series was over. Same thing last year, Except this time he tears 2 holes in his rotator cuff in his shoulder in late february BUT KEPT PLAYING UNTILL THE END OF THE PLAYOFFS. Oh and he had 5 points in the last 4 games against the Hawks when it really mattered after bieng shut out in the first round. HE WENT DOWN FIGHTING. And some people still question his playoff performances? Give me a break. One of the true leaders on the team, the only reason he didn't get a letter is because both of his line mates have one.
  19. Ya Knock on wood. He said after the game that the doctors helped him get back out there (I assume that means they shot up his leg with anasthetic) but he said he hoped the swelling would go down. Cross your fingers that he is just bruised. BEST PLAYER IN THE NHL value wise.I mean there are only a few first line guys who can score 2 goals in a game and still sacrifice their body for the good of the team like Burr did. That is why he is one of the true leaders on this team, guys look up to him and he is part of maybe 7 guys on the team who form the true core. What a player.
