  1. Jake Virtanen | #18 | RW

Loving Jake's game lately, he's finally got some confidence that he can play physical in this league. I think people lose sight of how hard it is for young power forwards to establish themselves against men in this league. For my money he's been one of the better Canucks for several games now.
  2. Elias Pettersson | C/RW

Brock is my favourite Canuck already and I'm excited too, but it's important to keep context. Brock is almost 21, not 18 like most of the other guys.
  3. For the love of god someone claim those two.
  4. [Official] 2017 Training Camp Thread

I'll be pretty surprised if Vegas doesn't snap up Rodin, they are extremely weak on RW.
  5. Same reason Sutter's goal didn't count I guess..
  6. I like the team speed and work ethic the team is showing tonight. Virtanen and Gagne seem to have some nice chemistry as well.
  7. Evan McEneny | D

McEneny has been very good in the preseason. He's not flashy so you don't notice him, but he makes extremely smart plays while playing big minutes and being paired with pylons every game. His defensive game is sound and the deft little plays he makes to escape pressure and turn the puck the other way are sorely what the Canucks have been missing. I probably have him ahead of MDZ and Weircoch, but I'm not really fans of either of those players. IMO stetcher should be playing in the spot MDZ is on the PP and with the 4 forward set Green likes I just don't see the point of MDZ.
  8. I am reminded of that scene from Indiana Jones when dude looks into the Ark of the Covenant and his face melts, mostly when I watch Jordan Subban play defense. I try not to look directly at it.
  9. McEeneny is without a doubt the only defender that deserves a hard look. Jake and Brock look great, everyone else....better luck next year.
  10. Jake Virtanen | #18 | RW

Even if he doesn't make the team, hats off to the kid. He's put in the work and looks great. A far cry from the lost sheep that was gifted a spot in a league he had no business in.
  11. NHL 18 Thread

This game was fine back in NHL 12. Ever since then it's gone downhill every year. It is a broken piece of crap and it has been since NHL 13. I used to love playing club, I am a heavy gamer and I played it more than any other game I've ever owned. Now I only play to scratch the hockey itch now and again. RIP NHL
  12. [GDT] 2017 NHL Awards and NHL Expansion Draft

Should be interesting to see what Vegas does from here, they picked up a lot of assets but have nothing down the middle and about a dozen bottom pairing defensive D-men. It was pretty smart to load up on D, should be able to flip most of them easy enough for more picks. The Tanev trade market just took a major hit, that's for sure. Those jerseys are Dogsh*t. Looks like a 5 year old made them on NHL 14.
  13. Yes, small players that don't put up enough points are something we don't have enough of..
  14. He's 22 and a bonafide elite winger that fits into the age group we already have. I can't think of anything that makes more sense than Drouin-Bo-Boeser
