@Ghostsof1915 - you're not wrong, but that isn't the only reason for their poor performance. Botchford linked some stats that show the expected goals for % of every line that has been given a full game together this season. Out of the 9 are 4 different Sedin line combinations - all 4 of them are in the bottom 5. This isn't just a case of getting older - this season is putting the Torts season to shame. They're aren't playing well at all and in the last 10 games are producing less than our 2nd and 3rd lines (I blame Willie's decision to play Megna with them). 

Willie needs to put the Sedins in a place to succeed if we're actually going to make the playoffs and putting Megna on their line is doing the opposite.

Split them up - They've always done well on seperate lines, and are nowhere near as predictable.

That Russia US game going on to another OT frame would have been great.

IMO, continuous OT makes the gold medal game an endurance test, which is a far greater factor in determining the better team. Much more so than some 1v1 individual skills competition.

That's the unfortunate part. They are tied in goals yet McDavid is a point a game player and Granny...isn't. He's got great hustle though. 

McDavid has much more offensive players around him to get those assists.

It's his own party's fault for that.

Would like to see the Twins being a bit more dominant offensively but maybe its their age catching up. I guess we can't 'rely' on them solely anymore, or hopefully its just a slow start. If they can get going, Loui wakes up, and Rodin coming back, our team is at least a playoff contender. At least they are playing with heart this year, and making it exciting!

There is still a completely different look to the games we play against LA and ANA. Burke must secretly love the truculence those 2 teams exhibit against us. It's that tough, western conference hockey that shows up in spades during the postseason, and while it's nice to see competitiveness in those 2 recent games, it also shows a little where we're weak, at least where we were weak on said night.
