  1. [PGT] Nashville Predators vs. Vancouver Canucks

No, you were a fool for not noticing this is 2017, not 2012.
  2. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

But you are? I'm not the one who dug up a comment from 6 months ago and trolled the person who gave an opinion that so far has been wrong. That's what you and 1-2 others have done. Just be sure to be man enough to come find me again in another 6 months since you apparently don't have much else going on if/when Boeser hits the wall and his stats nosedive. If you're going to call someone out online, don't act surprised and/or scold them for not "accepting it and moving on" when you get a response.
  3. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

You wouldn't have bothered to comment on WHAT I SAID IN MAY, genius. You really needed me to clarify that for you? You know what's worse than me being wrong? You patting yourself on the back over Boeser's performance as if you had something to do with it. You didn't.
  4. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

You probably feel pretty clever right now, but I don't think you should. We both know you wouldn't have bothered to comment had I been right or if he tails off.
  5. [PGT] Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks

The difference, though, is that unlike the players you mentioned, the Sedins have been in a slow but steady decline for a few years. Yet, they're still considered the focal point of the team. That's not good.
  6. Jordan Subban | D

I'm pretty sure he's got an older brother in the NHL who says that Jordan's the most talented hockey player in the family.
  7. [PGT] Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks

I've felt for years that this market and fan base values off-the-ice leadership examples in the community more than in-the-room/on-the-ice field general types. The twins are aces at one, but, seemingly lacking at the other, and it's painfully obvious that this franchise is in deep you-know-what if they're still supposed to be the focal point of its existence. Love 'em to death and all, but, like Torts said before he got gassed-out of here: it's time to move on from 2011. I appreciate everything they've done - and I even hope they can both have the kind of season that shuts up their critics, including me - but, I'll be glad when this franchise finally turns the page...and I'd be SERIOUSLY torqued if they're re-signed.
  8. [PGT] Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks

A Stecher sophomore slump wouldn't surprise me. Not that I'm hoping for it. But, like Hutton, he came out of nowhere and had a decent rookie campaign. But, as with Hutton, I still think it's far too early to pencil him in as a franchise cornerstone. I also agree about the "purely offensive D". It'd be nice to have someone who can do that. Even better if that someone comes from within the organisation.
  9. [PGT] Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks

FINALLY a CDC'r other than me who's down on the overrated Hutton. Personally, I'd rather hope Edler's absence creates an opportunity for Subban. And, before his detractors at this site start in with their usual myriad of reasons why he's a defensive liability, I'd invite them all to watch Hutton play the position first. But, as for adding offence from the blue line, no way would I take him over Subban.
  10. Darren Archibald | RW/LW

If it's Gaunce he's expected to jump, DA lapped him at LW4 a year or 2 ago. BG had better show out when he returns, is all I'm saying. I just haven't seen exactly what it is the organisation sees in the guy when compared to Archibald.
  11. Jordan Subban | D

I'd second that. They did the reverse with Hutton, and he's God-awful as a defenceman. Maybe he'd impress me had he not been moved from LW. But, as a D, I still fail to see how he's any less disastrous than Subban. He's certainly not more impressive offensively.
  12. Jake Virtanen | #18 | RW

I'm really pulling for the kid to become that top-6 RW power forward that GMMG said he'd acquired in Kassian. Wouldn't that really be something if JV turned out to be that! I like what I'm seeing so far this campaign...but, I just hope it isn't a mirage and he falls down to earth in 3 months.
  13. Darren Archibald | RW/LW

Not good enough? If the Canucks were truly interested only in players who are "good enough", they'd have parted with Hutton this summer. It just seems that no matter how well certain players perform in the AHL, they're continually having to jump through hoops to land a spot with the big club, while languishing behind an inferior/less impressive player on the depth chart in the NHL.
  14. Darren Archibald | RW/LW

Archibald getting criticized on TSN for not being able to keep up with Connor McDavid tonight, therefore justifying his being sent down to Utica. Shaking my head already. If this guy gets sent down, wake me when Gaunce finally does something impressive enough to justify his roster spot over Archibald.
  15. Olli Juolevi | D

Possibly too advanced for the OHL, definitely not ready for the NHL, and not eligible for the AHL. NICE.
