  1. Injury Report: 2018/19 Canucks

  2. Quinn Hughes | D

Ryan Johnson on Quinn Hughes: "Quinn has taken a big step forward. His hockey sense & how he reads the game is so high, the position he puts other players in by making a simple play that a lot of others can’t see. He does a great job of walking the line and has a quick shot to get it through to the net."

A lot of injuries: Vincent Trocheck will undergo major surgery to repair damage in his right leg and is out indefinitely. Patrice Bergeron will miss at least 4 weeks with a rib and sternoclavicular injury, at which point he will be re-evaluated. Brooks Orpik will miss 4-6 weeks following outpatient arthroscopic knee surgery. Noah Juulsen is out indefinitely with a facial fracture after taking a puck to the face last night.
  4. Olli Juolevi | D

Ryan Johnson on Olli Juolevi: "Juolevi is on a great track & learning the game while having success on the powerplay. We need to keep developing his game in North America with the faster game. We don’t feel the need to fast-track anybody. He’s in his process and doing a great job. I don’t like guys shuttling up to play 1 game, and come back down. We like players to go up and never come back."
  5. Thatcher Demko | G

Ryan Johnson on Thatcher Demko: "Demko is doing good, by no means want to put the cart before the horse but he’s been on the ice recently. Yesterday was first full practice & another good practice today. We’re excited to have him back & we'll make a decision in the next couple of days of how to proceed."
