  1. I have some thoughts on Pettersson: 1. Is he playing with a longer stick? Usually prefered for defensive advantages, longer sticks are harder to stick handle with and its common to lose the puck in your feet. This looks like our current Petey. 2. Was his injured wrist a major setback? I've heard he is 100% recovered, but it looks to me like his confidence is not at all there. His faceoffs are in the mid 30's and he looks to prefer a pass when on the powerplay. This does not appear to be 100% to me.
  2. I like Hughes, but i'm also a big fan of Simon Edvinsson. Something about those Swedes from Frolunda. Good scouting report: https://smahtscouting.com/2020/11/13/scouting-report-simonedvinsson/ #throwingwins4Edvinsson
  3. Schaller has looked slow and is statistically aweful. I'd rather see MacEwan. Or any AHL call up for that matter. Nucks 4th line looks broken right now.
  4. Hey guys, I'm new to PC gaming, and I would really like to get this game. Is it playable with a mouse and keyboard? Is it better to play with a controller (I don't have one)? Which is preferred? Thanks in advance for any input and advice on this.
  5. What if Eriksson retires? Does he come with a recapture penalty as well? If so, at what cost?
  6. This is assuming no other team in the NHL had an interest in attaining Miller. What if a division rival had an offer on the table that forced Benning to up his offer. There is no proof at all that Tampa was desperate to move Miller. Because they weren't. He was an easy move because he is a player teams want.
  7. I like the idea of trading for Zaitsev. He plays big, and is defensively reliable. Not a star by any means, but would be an upgrade over Biega. I think that Zaitsev would be a big factor in Tryamkin wanting to return to Vancouver too. Toronto will not want to sweeten the deal to move Zaitsev. Once Marleau is gone, so is they're cap concerns. Toronto was already weak at RD, and if they move Zaitsev they will be even weaker. Their asking price will be for a RD. I would bet the asking price for Zaitsev would be Stecher.... Which should be a hard NO from Van. I don't actually see much of a compromise deal here either. A Zaitsev trade is probably better suited to another team like Carolina.
  8. Insert 'Ballard, Raymond, and a 3rd' joke here.
  9. I was going to read this, but noticed you spelt Canuck wrong in your user name.
  10. It seems like most armchair gm lineups have both Boucher and Gaunce off the list. Do you guys think these two get past waivers? I personally see both getting picked up.
  11. thats a hell of a hook he took there too
  12. No, if the money is there they would likely take it. However the NHL does still receive relocation fees (not sure how much, but it is well under 650M). If a team goes bankrupt, the NHL will try to accommodate, as they have in the past.
  13. There is also no guarantee that Seattle will require an expansion draft. An already existing team may just move locations due to financial losses like Atlanda moved to Winnepeg years ago. I'm not arguing your point though, I also think Guadette should debut next season.
  14. Burning a year could be very costly if there is another expansion draft (Seattle) in 2020.
  15. how awkward is that shot block attempt???? this is real league right?
  16. I PVR'd it I feel like Vancouver passed over the older Tkatchuk because of "character issues". I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same with this one. Of course maybe this one is a class act. I don't know. I doubt Van takes him at 2nd though.
  17. I love this trend. Boesser - NHL All star MVP Demko - AHL All star MVP Gaudette - Beanpot Tournament MVP Petterson - wait for it.....
  18. I very impressed with the play of Dylan Sikura. He has great chemistry with Gaudette. I wonder if Sikura can translate his game to the NHL level. He is 22, but only 165 to 175 lbs (sources couldn't agree on weight).
  19. Sweden's powerplay unit is stacked with talent. Andersson, Nylander, Pettersson, Dahlin. I'm very grateful that Vancouver has one of those players, but it sure would be great to have anther one (crossing fingers for some kind of draft miracle). It wouldn't surprise me to see Sweden win this tourney, they have a great team.
  20. Thanks for sharing, that was a great read.
  21. This highlight vid just made me moister than an oyster... Sorry if it has already been posted (I didn't feel like looking through 198 pages). @ 1:20 - Wow!!! @ 1:35 - How did he see that guy???
  22. A new coach would probably be a plus as far as Tryamkins desires to return go. Losing his buddy Sbisa hurts though. Maybe Goldobin lights it up and becomes a Russian buddy prospect. hard to say. I read some time ago that the number 1 reason why people quit a new job or drop out of school is because they felt no connection (lack of friends, lack of acknowledgement, feel like they're not a part of something). I think this was a big factor for Trymakin. His English was not very good, I imagine connecting to people would have been difficult. He even admitting to being homesick as his reason to l leave. If this was in fact the case, I think it would be unlikely that he would return to the Canucks. Big money might be the only thing that could entice him. Or more Russian teammates maybe? I dunno, I'm not a psychologist... lol.
  23. Later rounds??? Lind was the 2nd pick from the 2nd round.
