  1. Kassian has all the tools to be top6, I think his drinking habits and late nights in yaletown will keep him injured !
  2. I'll keep Hansen, Not resign weber And your missing Sbisa
  3. Luc, pp quarter back, top pairing dmen, we miss him.
  4. Tanev- hella soft, no pushback at all I agree, but he's able to move the puck out of his own end Bieksa- old, slow, been 4 years of the same and each year he regresses Sbisa- having bieksa as your partner doesn't help, but god he was awful, terrible decisions with the puck, only positive here is he's young and able to skate with a decent shot. Weber- too small and puck handling is way to average for him to get his shot on net Hamuis- was the better defenders out there but still lacks the ability to make plays consistently Edler- ticking time bomb, how many times does he break a stick in crucial times every game.
  5. If the Sedins had a defensemen that can hold the puck and dangle like when we had erhoff, there game would take off, there still effective players ! I don't blame our skill players, which defensemen was able to pass the puck while on stride, never it was always broken plays Offense is generated from the back end, look at Pittsburgh they have crosby and malkin, but look what happens when letang, erhoff, matta, polouit are all injured !
  6. Playoffs you need puck possession defencemens that can make plays to the forwards, look at Kris Russell, TJ Brodie, and Dennis Wideman, Bieksa, past his prime and with a cap hit of 2.5 million next year he's probably gonna be around to play out his final year of the contract. Great teammate but cant make the plays anymore. Sbisa, turnover machine, just signed a new contract highly unlikely moved as well. The whole series calgary forced Sbisa to make plays god was he awful Hamuis, still a solid defender but he needs a real puck moving defender as a partner. Terrible on the power play. Weber, gets rubbed out along the boards way too often, good depth defender, but shouldn't be anywhere in top 4, I wouldn't resign him. Edler, the big friendly giant, needs to be packaged as he holds the most value, way to inconsistent and every year has shown he can't handle the playoff pressure. Tanev, good stay at home defender but needs an offensive dman partner. Don't think we'll ever see a slapper from this kid.
  7. Must keep mattias and Dorset Great skating wingers with edge, Boston type hockey. Fits bennings mold
  8. Richards won't play for Edmonton
  9. No $&!# sherlocks, everyone wants virtanen to crush and plot goals like Jerome Iginla, it's called hockey IQ that hockey players need to succeed. Way to state the obvious about playmaking centers....
  10. Completely agree, standing and waiting on the left side draw won't work
  11. How's I'm a being a troll, as of right now virtanen doesn't look good. He might be a stud in next years world jr's but as of right now it's not great. Put on some glasses buddy. He's a dump and chase type player right now. His best asset is playing physical and in your face game !
  12. He's more of a Derrick Dorset then jeff carter
  13. He floats in the offensive zone. Always on the left side and is expecting a pass to come to him. He needs to go down low to retrieve pucks. Frustrating watching him play !
  14. Does everyone need to be reminded that we just traded for a big, good skating defensemen from the NEW YORK ISLANDERS. The isles have never been good at developing players and it shows or else they would be a contending team by now. Mallet hasn't shown much in the canucks organization, they felt like he wasn't going to get better, therefore we traded him. Losing picks sucks but it's not like every round pick becomes an full time NHL-er.
  15. His skating is superb, in my eyes he has more upside than tanev. Looks like a future 2nd pairing dman.
