  1. Not at all.. he likes a tougher team but that's where it ends, that's all I have to say that's good about having him. Thought about it more and actually with the bad ownership on down to GM, it doesn't really matter who is coaching actually, you can only do so much as a coach anyway with a bad team. Ours isn't a bad team, it's horrible.. We are so fuc_ed it's ridiculous. Ponder this, Tocchet should want a tougher team and we need one, what does management do, trades away Schenner for a late pick that has about 1 in a thousand chance of making the NHL.. F'n Genius! Omfg!
  2. We'll trade it for a 6th or 7th and a bag of pucks as long as the pucks have a NHL logo! Would I put it past our new idiots in management? No it wouldn't surprise me at all..
  3. Why? Have a habit of throwing away money on useless stuff?! Or for once can someone actually say screw what the fans want, how about we actually BUILD a team that contends for a cup every year instead of a one and done? That would be new...
  4. Nothing wrong with dreaming though, halfway through it always turns into a nightmare but meh.. same ole
  5. Because owner/management/coach will find a way to F it up somehow..
  6. I hope something turns out for a change, so not impressed with giving up Schenner to TO, that was a horrible move! And as usual, CanucksArmy wrote it up as good asset management.. I thought to myself, what on earth have you been smoking or snorting or whatever. A tough, hard working, hard hitting, and willing to drop the gloves to look after teammates is something this team needs more of not F'g less of! If there's ever a bottom pairing guy that has upside that makes him worth the $, that would be Schenner. That was b.s.! Let's go back to the butter soft highly skilled playing team that goes nowhere past the first round thats fun to watch (during the season) painful to watch in the post season. Until FA sells this team to a new owner and we get rid of JR, AL, and RT.. we're royally screwed! And a cup? Ahahaha!! (Yeah right!) Not anytime soon unless this bull$hit stops
  7. One would hope, Goalies can't stop what they can't see. We both know forwards like to park themselves in the crease area but as it stands, only Myers is a guy who can but if we don't replace him with size, and after losing Schenner it could turn pretty disasterous and Luongo and our D against Buffy is one I don't ever want to see again, EVER! Atm, if we played the Preds as we are now, we'd get destroyed! They'd grind us into ice particles! That would be embarrassing (AGAIN!)
  8. Heck one dirty look from that third pairing would make most players back the F off in a hurry! Can see Train (literally) lifting guys out of the crease and throwing them..
  9. Same ole for the last 40 odd years.. And no cup, fancy that hey! Let's keep it up, no cup allowed in Vancouver (ever!) We want a fun to watch seasonal entertaining team, screw the playoffs!
  10. When I stop laughing about the normal person part I might ask that by that complete paragraph what the f do you judge normal by? Normal as in never having a clue about hockey and everything around it like contract law, actually development when your actually left something to develop?! I can go on if you like.. normal as in simple minded and unable to grasp the big picture of how something was in the past, recent past, not just the present? If that's normal to you, I'd have to agree.. these days those "normal people" are too lazy or stupid to question anything their told and if you want examples of that as it pertains to this franchise, I'd be more than happy to explain it to you. And after that i'd ask if it's anything new here in Vancouver and a real normal person would be forced by logic to say no.. You really surprise me time after time responding to things without taking any of the circumstances surrounding it into account but that's the normal you pointed out isn't it? Anddddd one more thing, if you have the balls to answer and be specific about it, your JB in 2012, your tasked with a roster that's full of NMC's and NTC's for years into the future, nothing in the pipeline and draft picks traded away for the roster pieces your stuck with. Owner says keep people in the arena so there's money coming in and completely rebuild the team according to contract law, tell me Mr r u serious, how exactly would YOU do it or are you another one of quite a few idiots who have no answer for it and just keep going on about it and looking like a complete fool forsaking any thoughts whatsoever about what happens off the ice that has the biggest impact on the ice.. So it's either a reply of.. yeah maybe I never took that into consideration of what that would have been like enough or a reply of what you would have done in his spot. And if you think for a minute any GM in his position handed that kind of handicap to start off with, you'd be just that stupid, no GM out there can get around the CBA and get away with it, it simply not possible but if for some reason you think you could have, I'd be all ears to hear how!
  11. Ummm.. there's a running joke on this forum that goes something like so.. 3 wins in a row, plan the parade! 3 losses in a row, tear it down! Ok so there might be slight variations of how many games won and lost about that saying but it's crazy typical here and I won't even start how many fans listen to the media and Parrott it here as if it was true and oftentimes it's hardly the case, ok so I did start but I'll end it there but I could go on. Sorry but myself and a lot of others would soooo disagree with that because of your here long enough and pay attention you can't help but see how blatant it can be.
  12. Yeah they let go of schenner... F'n Genius! We don't need toughness or grit, we can win a cup with a soft team like we usually have had over the years... We have so many cups I doubt we have room for anymore! Blah.. everyone wants a highly skilled soft team to entertain us all season long but never win a cup. I'm still shocked by the utter stupidity of that kind of thinking but then again this is vancouver and everyone is hot after the media's thinking that started it all long ago and never stops and even now, it's still happening today. I guess most people are either too lazy or too stupid to think critically for themselves or something, and just go blindly on, believing whatever their told like good lil lemmings. And people argue we DON'T have the leagues worst clueless fans.. that's funny! Thankfully that's not everyone but the majority that's for sure..
  13. Grow em and trade em is the only thing I can think of for that, however I'm thinking it's going to be a busy off season for us, I can picture Tocchet saying a want a tougher team as well as smaller skilled because anyone who knows anything about hockey will say a soft team and the playoffs do not mix when bigger teams start laying on the body and it gets rough, we've had that enough times before and it didn't work for us either.
  14. They just F'd up large! letting Schenner go, but to be fair, maybe they spoke to him and he was going to ask for money more than he was deemed worth. IF that wasn't the case, he is the stereotypical 3 line D with an edge we need, not trade away! Another poster I read, hit it on the head, we still have a super soft team and I agree, if we came up against the Preds in the post season next year first round, they'd stomp us into next week and yet another first round exit.. . That would suck!!!!
  15. Klim has/is been my fave dark horse since we got him, I've been so busy lately that hockey has taken a big back seat so I haven't had the time to investigate how he's been doing but awhile ago I did catch wind he was improving but he's been keeping it going as of late? I hope so! He has lots of swagger but held back a bit from the transition but had a feeling it wouldn't take him that long to adjust with some time in Abby so this is good news!
  16. Well using your scenario at the end of the day is a step forward I agree but it's from 2 sports writers and didn't come from FA himself so it may or may not be b.s. but I lean towards it being b.s., I don't trust anything I read by anyone unless it's from the horses mouth. However IF this team gets built over the long-term, none of this will mean anything, just like the last 40+ years will it? Alf, you know as well as I do that unless we support a good roster for once with depth, you know where this ship is sailing, as always.
  17. At least he gave a shite and tried his best but people can't seem to get their idiot heads around what he was faced with and wasn't a professional GM really for any amount of time and no I never said he didn't make mistakes but the league is full of GM's who have as well but the disaster he was handed and given a 2 fold job of trying to re-tool a contract locked in roster by MG and keep seats warm aka Aquaman at the same time isn't a job I would have ever taken in the first place, remember how 2012 ended with a depthless broken (to say the least) and zero farm prospects.. and not a lot of pick from drafts either plus Canada being a second rate destination amongst players, then taxes here a big part of that. Yeah it's easy to throw stones until we put ourselves in their places in the same circumstances. I've asked others countless times, what would YOU have done in his place and I've never got a single answer to that, not one! Lots of talking heads who don't know $hit but that's nothing new, those same people come on here and parrot what the media says about anything like it's true or something! P.S. obviously if you want to blame someone, in my mind it's franchesco He should have hired a seasoned GM with a successful track record instead..
  18. Like most of the CDC's brain management... Just not as bad. Nothing can ever top that! Lol
  19. Your mistaken, they don't just suck, they suck ROYALLY! Worse than 70's and 80's? Probably about the same, possibly worse but that's a toss up...
  20. Alf? What have you been getting into lately? These 2 are idiots!! And hiring Toc? Are you kidding? If you think we were a disaster team in 2012, you haven't seen anything yet! We are so F'd it's ridiculous! This team is never going anywhere, and those stupid enough to think it will, are just that stupid as ever, like the last 40 years of not building a team and ending up with a depthless roster, yeah that worked great didn't it? A few people in the media pointed out (and oddly correct for a change) that Vancouver can't handle a rebuild and it's true as it ever was. But back to it, reality bites as much as we don't like it, this team isn't going anywhere but mediocrity and no cup.. saying or dreaming it will ever change is laughable, build a team for once? Rightttttt.. And don't get me started on how the worst fan base in the NHL thinks it knows much, that's even more laughable.. more like hilarious!
  21. Well what I've noticed is how badly our forwards positioning is and how almost the whole team hesitates instead of making a quick pass to whoever is closest and open, we lose so much luck possession time to it that it's always a uphill battle. I noticed it the most under TG when it was almost automatic to hold onto the puck looking for a stretch pass that backfired by coughing up the puck and teams getting a quality shot or a goal against us. It still happens a lot but just not as much as before but something we need to work on. And I'd say a system is only as good as the execution but the answer we need lies in speed, size, and work. We had that in 94 and 2012 but not enough depth for it, now we're struggling to get back to that but same applies, no depth, no getting anywhere and I'm tired of going down that road and watching the same ole...
  22. Well it's not just the D, our forwards are hardly supporting them still and that HAS to change, that's the sign of a elite team. Has it been like that? We all know the answer to that one, a sometimes it's resembled that last season in a few games but that's hardly enough. We can have a much better D but without support, it won't matter all that much against the best teams, we will get buried everytime and everyone knows what happens in the playoffs without it.. Getting pumped for the playoffs and then ousted in 4 straight in the 1st round (ish?) No thanks... Our forwards positioning for passes and support are horrid! If I was a D player and got traded here, I'd be pissed off, hung out to dry every night by the forwards..
