  1. You'd do that to your body? Your body will be bitching at you for weeks! Probably never forgive you either...
  2. Yeah I can't really blame either MG or JB really, MG had put together a really good roster but didn't have the depth to cover, especially on D but then to JB being handed the twins to at least keep ppl in the seats, sort of.. LE was supposed to help with that, and believe me I loathe that guy, then Guddy to toughen up the D, same with Train, etc etc and although it was good in theory on both counts of both GM's, but yep fail.. However losing L.B. was a major blow too. It's been one thing after another but either way we can't keep swimming along against the tide, without depth, just like any other team, we're F'd! Anyway unless JR and AL bring in depth.. nothing is going to change
  3. Epic fail by Benning? Anyone in his position would have loved to surround his best players with quality support guys yeah but no matter who was at the helm you can only do so much when you have a roster of locked in contracts waiting to come off and that was us for a longggggg time.. that was a MG thing leading up to that but not only did we get a broken locked in roster in 2012 but the "sell the farm" had been used so there was nothing at the farm. What a shiteshow to take over, no way in hell would I have taken that on, because not only sell the farm but stupid fans agreeing with it EVEN though that path never got us anywhere.. ever.. close a few times doesn't count for $hit and the rest of the times in between was usually laughable at best. Why would I say that? The locked in part was the part that no GM could circumvent contract law but again clued out fans thinking anyone could simply say to the league, screw your rules and laws I'm doing it my way, is dumb as a post.. not including Canada is not the first on the list of players destinations like LA, New York etc. plus good ole Canadian taxes... If it were only just that easy...
  4. Honestly, if Twitter went down, people would simply use something else I think. Hardly the only platform out there, and there's always Facebook right?
  5. Settle down.. first, if we're THAT dependant on a single draft pick then we're doomed before we even get going. What the F are you expecting? We've been stuck with players who were NTC's for years and years, only in the last few years have we actually started to build something and we never had much to begin with. Now, we're at least headed in the upward trend direction and still need upgrades and this isn't news, nor is the need for depth. Will we get better? Certainly! Will it be a snap, one and done? Certainly NOT and that's not news either. Truth is, it will probably be a cpl of more seasons to become relevant as our prospects and pick start to be NHL ready and push for spots, and yet again, this is not news to anyone. However, we're playing better, and buying into a style of play that will help us win more games but expecting anything more is ludicrous. And as much as I'd like us to be in a better draft position, I'd rather see the team do better and the parts we'll be willing to trade will have better value than a single draft pick and spot where we get him at. If your mad because we've been potentially losing a shot at Bedard, you can relax, even if we were at 30th place overall, we wouldn't get him, it's just the way things are.
  6. Everyone feels weird with aliens around though Alf, with all the cats people have especially...
  7. During a interview with Bo, he said he got "jacked" by a Demko save, I thought to myself, our captain needs a save by his goalie to get jacked? Like wtf? Isn't making millions enough for that? Unbelievable...
  8. Without a healthy Demko throughout most of the season and the D injured beyond belief at the very start of the year, BB would still be here but we needed guys like Gonchar and Foote here to straighten out the D regardless
  9. Worst case scenario, even if we lost a place out of the draft because of this win, watching Demko out duel Markstrom is almost worth it! Not saying winning a single game is going to do that for sure but Demko keeps showing he's worth his weight in gold for us! I sure appreciate that guy, stuck with us all this time even though a lot of nights we sucked defensively as a whole team, both on F and D and hung him out to dry. Glad he's back! Hope he can put in a full year and be playoff bound with the right roster tweaks in the off season.
  10. I'm still sold on BPA at forward (flip) for a D prospect and if we get Reinbacher, then skip that and snag him. However our draft luck... If it was possible, we'd probably get last pick, thankfully it isn't possible! Lmao!
  11. Well everyone has a opinion of what they like or don't like in a player but the main thing we need is size, we need net clearing and guys not afraid to hit so they think twice about touching the puck in our zone as they "expect" to be hit and do. And Demko as any other goalie can't stop what they can't see so screens have to be removed out of the way and we need players with some size who can do that. If it was up to me, 1 big stay at home paired with a O minded pmd, because as a smaller D corps might do ok during the season but WILL get crushed in the playoffs as they always do. Time for things to change around that issue, I'm not a huge Myers fan but if and when he goes, we have to have someone at least decent sized to take his place. That's a big reason why I hoped Guddy and Tryamkin would have worked out long term. No dice there but maybe sooner than later if Tocchet gets his way, he sees the value in it.
  12. Actually after just reading some articles and someone pointed out that there's so many forwards available that are top end that Reinbacher could be available to us and I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we got him. His D needs work but what 18 year old's doesn't need work right? Plus he's not small at 6'2 either. Has a good upside of a elite stick and good at stripping the puck off a opponent as well and a really good shot. Other things he's "ok" at like his skating and passing but that's what development looks after. It's a mind bender though, our lottery draft luck sucks A$$ so if we did get him that might turn into a huge win for us if he pans out that is... Who knows but if I were PA I'd take a shot as we'll probably pick somewhere from 9-12 OA range.
  13. As long as we wind up with a forward at BPA who can be traded for D if we don't get to pick one OR the right one whatever, then I'm happy, obviously that's our weak point so we need to load up so at some point we finally balance out and the forwards buy all in for a 200' game then we might actually get somewhere for a change.. this is getting ridiculous.. Trying to out score opponents all the time because we can't keep the puck out of our own net is getting old and doesn't work. Not to mention a good roster D isn't enough, we need depth there too and that would be weird to see (for once) I can't even remember us having any at all, ever. Make it so PA! You can do this! Toughen us up too btw!
  14. One can hope... Just like Gretzky, McDavid can also cry really hard when he doesn't get his way. Both great scorer's but equally as whiners too.
  15. Dale Hawerchuk got my vote... Quite the player, followed by Bure but that's a bit biased because he was here but man that guy could skate, dangle, and deke like it was old hat, and the way he reacted when he scored? Classic!! But Hawerchuk? Wow This is everything he accomplished RDS Cup (QMJHL Rookie of the Year) (1980) Guy Lafleur Trophy (QMJHL Playoff MVP) (1980) QMJHL Championships (1980 and 1981) Memorial Cup championships (1980 and 1981) Memorial Cup All-Star First Team (1980 and 1981) Jean Béliveau Trophy (QMJHL Scoring Champion) (1981) QMJHL First Team All-Star (1981) Michel Brière Memorial Trophy (QMJHL Player of the Year) (1981) Stafford Smythe Memorial Trophy (Memorial Cup MVP) (1981) CHL Player of the Year (1981) Played in NHL All-Star Game 5 times - 1982,1985,1986,1988,1997 Calder Memorial Trophy winner (1982) World Championships bronze medal (1982 and 1986) World Championships silver medal (1989) NHL Second Team All-Star Centre (1985) Canada Cup Championships (1987 and 1991) First NHL player to reach 1000 career NHL games before age 31 Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001 Honoured Member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame Member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame (2013) Inducted into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame in 2011[9] Inducted into the Phoenix Coyotes Ring of Honor in 2007,[1] joining Bobby Hull and Thomas Steen. The Jets/Coyotes franchise retired his number 10 on April 5, 2007. Unlike Hull and Steen, who were honored in Jets colors, Hawerchuk's number was retired in Coyotes apparel, despite the fact that Hawerchuk never played in Phoenix. Honored by the second Winnipeg Jets franchise: named captain of the Jets' alumni squad at the 2016 Heritage Classic, inducted into the team's Hall of Fame in 2017, and by a statue near the Canada Life Centre, the Jets' current arena located in downtown Winnipeg. Out of respect for Hawerchuk, number 10 has not been worn by any Jets player since that team relocated to Winnipeg in 2011. Holds the record for most assists in a period, with five in the second period of Winnipeg's 7-3 win at Los Angeles on March 6, 1984
  16. Wait what? Wife beater? Ok I guess I don't watch enough to have known that, dude there's a limit of course...
  17. If they keep their own $hit out of hockey, sure.. and to continue if you don't get it, hockey is a game, it's no place for agenda's and if you reading more into than that.. oh well
  18. Your validation as a human being comes from being one, nothing else, if we start depending on people to validate us when we're "adults" that's a set up for failure. Best not to give a flying F about what anyone else thinks to begin with. I used to be there but now I could care less because it's not worth my time. If ppl can't respect you as a human being no matter what, that's their problem not yours.
  19. It's not opinion Vegas, it's fact. This isn't new btw, much like media, push the right buttons and ppl will respond even if it's only for attention, it's nothing new.
  20. But your now on the status quo side of the subject.. ummm.. I'm not sure your getting this, corporate never does $hit unless they have something to gain, monetarily/reputation or otherwise..
