Dreading that there are legs to these off-season rumours for the Canucks.
2019 needs: top-pairing D-men. Solution: overpay Gardiner, Myers with long-term deals. Might as well trade a decent prospect or pick for Zaitsev as well.
2018 needs: penalty-kill. Solution: overpay Beagle and Schaller.
2017 needs: top-line forward to play with the Sedins and puck-moving D-man. Solution: Eriksson and MDZ.- Show previous comments 10 more

Benning needs to stop panic signings and just build a team we should have been acquiring draft picks and developing since he got here we might actually have a farm team and some depth.
Personally i think if it were up to Jim edler would have already signed and gotten 3or 4 years with full protection especially after EK signed.
Someone else is pulling the strings after all Benning gave rousel (a 4th liner) sutter eriksdone beagle all m-ntc’s.
He hands those out like candy.
Personally I hope edler leaves. And so does Jim.
