  1. Seventeen-Point Drop in US Satisfaction Among Republicans Republicans' satisfaction falls to 41%, down from 58% in May Overall U.S. satisfaction drops to 24%, down seven percentage points Lowest level of satisfaction since July 2016 Approval rating 35% http://www.gallup.com/poll/212252/seventeen-point-drop-satisfaction-among-republicans.aspx He's getting sucked into the whirlpool, and soon Trump will drown like a filthy rat.
  2. Absolutely ridiculous. Trump made it clear during his campaign he was going to do a "Muslim ban" (Yes, his words) You guys need to get your facts straight.
  3. An 800 billion dollar cut to medicaid was part of the package, even Fox News reported this one: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/05/22/trump-budget-to-cut-medicaid-food-stamps-put-taxpayer-first-officials-say.html Again, I suspect the problem is that you guys don't understand what Trump and his ilk are trying to do, because it is completely insane. At least, I don't understand how any rational being could approve of this kind of thing, once you go over the details. Trump wants to implement something that will directly lead to the deaths of Americans, and here is a good example of how Americans have responded:
  4. I have seen the other side of things, and "Don't agree with" is an understatement. I have read into some of the contents of Trump's legislature, Trumpcare for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Health_Care_Act_of_2017 Perhaps you guys are the ones who are not aware of what has been happening on your own side? The 20+ million people that will lose coverage, some of them Trump would literally be condemning to death, for no plausible reason aside from Trump's petulance, or as a result of some other awful combination of Trump's characteristics?
  5. What puzzles me is how Trump says "I am vindicated" and almost immediately the legions of Trumpists say "Nothing to see here!" as if collusion was the only thing Trump had to worry about. This is not over, it is just getting started if anything.
  6. "In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord" "In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, I am cutting $1.6 Trillion from medicaid" "In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, I am allowing Verizon to sell your personal Internet history" "In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, I'm cutting a 100 billion dollar arms deal for the main sponsor of terrorism worldwide" "In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, I am going to alienate our closest allies and cuddle up to/admire some of the most psychotic men on this planet" Anyone else see the pattern yet?
  7. Spot on. Brilliant. It's all fake news, with one exception of course, Fox News: Trump supporters, sticking your head in the ground is not going to do a thing to prevent the deluge of reality.
  8. James Comey Agrees To Testify In Open Senate Hearing The Senate Intelligence Committee said ousted FBI Director James Comey has agreed to testify in an open session. The committee said in a late Friday statement that it plans to schedule the hearing for after Memorial Day. The Senate Intelligence Committee is investigating Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 election and any possible links between Moscow and the Trump campaign. Sen. Richard Burr, chairman of the committee, said he hopes that Comey's testimony "will clarify for the American people recent events that have been broadly reported in the media." Sen. Mark Warner, vice chairman of the committee, said he expects the former FBI director to "shed light on issues critical" to the committee's investigation. The Virginia Democrat also said he hopes that Comey will answer some of the questions following his sudden dismissal. "Director Comey served his country with honor for many years, and he deserves an opportunity to tell his story. Moreover, the American people deserve an opportunity to hear it," Warner said in a statement. Since Comey was abruptly fired by Donald Trump, reports have surfaced suggesting a tense relationship between the former FBI director and the president. Earlier Friday, The New York Times reported that Trump told top Russian officials that Comey was a "nut job" and that his termination relieved "great pressure." The newspaper also reported that the president had expressed his wishes that Comey could let go of the investigation into former national security advisor Michael Flynn. In a Thursday conference, Trump flatly denied that he ever made such a suggestion. "No. No ... next question," Trump said when asked during a joint news conference with Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos if he had, in any way, tried to influence the probe. In a reported memo, Comey allegedly says Trump asked him to let the probe into Flynn go.
  9. Even at this point I'm not sure Trump himself is particularly racist. He just made sure to hold views that would most certainly garner support from racists. One thing Trump does extremely well is manipulate people based on their prejudices, and he has done far more damage in that regard then any open racist could possibly aspire to cause. Look how he has divided the country. He is quite possibly the worst thing that ever happened to the USA.
  10. Is the criticism warranted when they are people the President has already publicly denounced as criminals, and rightly so? This seems to be a fairly important detail you are dismissing here.
  11. Who wasn't paying attention?! Trump himself publicly denounced Goldman Sachs, and a couple months later appointed Steve Mnuchin as Treasury secretary. These guys could draw an amusing new picture like this every single day as to what is apparently troubling America, and they could be total non sequiturs depending on what kind of seizure Trump is having, and nothing would be amiss with his devotees. What Trump depends on is providing enemies, either exaggerated or unreal, while he tries to take away the health insurance, or sells the on line browsing information of the people he is supposed to protect and serve. His tremendous ego takes priority before the needs of the American people. Believe me.
  12. Here are the top ten countries that suffer terrorism: https://www.forbes.com/sites/dominicdudley/2016/11/18/countries-most-affected-by-terrorism/#7ede6fb130d9 Iraq Afghanistan Nigeria Pakistan Syria Yemen India Somalia Egypt Libya While it can certainly be argued that foreign intervention has not helped in some cases, at the end of the day it's estimated that many as 95% percent of the victims of terrorism worldwide are Muslims; the only way to explain that is to assert that a vast majority of these attacks are also perpetrated by Muslims. Why does this happen? Consider how some Muslims fly into a rage when someone simply draws a picture of Mohammed. Now apply that kind of thinking at large in an environment where there is little tolerance for objection to whatever your beliefs may be, and the hair trigger violence that all too soon follows. This is what proliferates in many Muslim majority countries; intentional provocation that has been going on for well over a thousand years, since the Sunni and Shia have existed. I would recommend watching "Freedom to broadcast hate" it was an eye opener.
  13. I really hope you start questioning what guys like Trump and Spicer say as you have done here. Why? Well... because they do this kind of thing all of the time. Lying or displaying ignorance in a way that is truly baffling. You can hope they will be asked to clarify, but unless they are backed into a corner they never will do this earnestly. They have no respect for Americans, in particular the people who voted them into power.
  14. Are YOU serious?! I thought I made it fairly clear this is incredulity, not resentment.
  15. Are you serious? Yeah, I'm sure millions of people could fly a thousand miles every other day and do their job just as effectively on the golf course, rather then their office, because that makes perfect sense... what a utopia we live in?
