  1. Forget about it JR, it's Canuckstown... regards, G.
  2. Assuming he is healthy enough to play, it then becomes an interesting thought, would Lupul be blackballed by the NHL? And, maybe the only team which offers him a contract (at league minimum) is the Canucks. Yeah, Lupul would jump at that... regards, G.
  3. Well, it's good to see that at least the Negative Nancys are in mid-season form. regards, G.
  4. SHUSH!!!! You are ruining my narrative, man. regards, G.
  5. And a beautiful shot it was, perfectly picked the top corner and in... regards, G.
  6. White Hawk Down, a sequel to the Black Hawk one? regards, G.
  7. Horvat is playing. There, now you don't feel so bad. regards, G.
  8. Nah, can't be. It's all about the Burrows factor.... regards, G.
  9. Yeah, it's the missing Burrows factor. The NHL no longer hatez teh Canucks. regards, G.
  10. Make sure you add side comments of how the Canucks were robbed in the deals for Shinkaruk, Gudbranson and Sutter, as well as how Edler isn't worth a bag of pucks and should be traded for a 1st and you should be okay. regards, G.
  11. Or, is it still that attractive if we also know how these proposed deals might work out?: - Tanev returns a 31st OA pick (who perhaps becomes a 3rd or 4th liner in the NHL, or maybe a 6/7 d-man) and a prospect (or two) who aren't really any better (or turn out to be worse) than anything the team already has, and they become borderline NHL players. Tanev plays several more years as one of the best defensive d-men in the NHL. - Granlund returns a 30th OA pick (who perhaps becomes a 3rd or 4th liner in the NHL, or maybe a 6/7 d-man) , while he and the guy taken with the 3rd round pick become stars for their new team. - Edler returns a 31st OA pick (who perhaps becomes a 3rd or 4th liner in the NHL) and a prospect or two who aren't really any better, or turn out to be worse, than anything the team already has, and they become borderline NHL players. However, the Hockey Gods could change that Edler 31 OA to a 1st OA if anyone can provide a reasonable and realistic a reason or two why Edler elects to waive his NTC...? regards, G.
  12. Indeed. The Canucks paid a 3rd to get him on this team? They got him cheap for what he brings. regards, G.
  13. So this leads us to the next question: if you were at a live sporting event, and another fan took a knee, would you give a sh*t and support him/her? regards, G.
  14. Just curious here, and I am being serious in asking this as it relates to an ongoing problem in the world (not just the USA or North America): do you kneel during the national anthem(s) when you are at a live sporting event? Heck, do you kneel when you are at a local pub and the national anthem comes on? Do you know anyone who does? If this is something you don't do, or are unwilling to take up, why would you expect it of others (in this case sporting celebs)? regards, G.
