  1. An interesting article of Guerrero jr. from the MLB home page: https://www.mlb.com/news/vladimir-guerrero-jr-needs-to-adjust-to-pitchers regards, G.
  2. The Marble Arrch...wasn't that a strip club, back in the day? And there was something about Motley Crue as well.... regards, G.
  3. @Muttley This is what came to mind when you put up this: regards, G.
  4. Day 14: https://www.twitch.tv/midnightsumo regards, G.
  5. Just checking in prior to the Giants game: who wants which team to win? regards, G.
  6. There's a long tradition which he has to live up to: Kerry Fraser vs Wayne Gretzky. https://thehockeynews.com/news/when-kerry-fraser-went-to-war-with-wayne-gretzky regards, G.
  7. Just got here. Is this some kind of combined goal total from a previous series scoring system? regards, G.
  8. I guess Keith and the Hughes' boys father could be added to Harry Neale's list of who he would draft, "Who would you draft, Harry?" "I'd draft Walter Gretzky and old man Sutter, and start a stud farm...." regards, G.
  9. Apologies for the late post: the May Basho has been going on for the last several days. This guy is pretty good, and it is in English. https://www.youtube.com/c/Kintamayamasumo/videos regards, G.
  10. Well................... I could see trading Hughes, for the right price, but it would be for a hefty amount. I would want a high 1st, and a Chychrun type of d-man (size, age, skating, physical style of play, etc), a younger top-6 forward (scoring potential, skating, hockey IQ, etc), plus additional picks/prospects. Now, the Canucks wouldn't get that from just one team, so a number of teams would have to be involved, which would be far too complicated to make such a deal work. regards, G.
  11. Yup. I don't have a dog in this fight, I just noted how the numbers changed/reversed for this first year of Garland being with the Canucks. regards, G.
  12. Yup, I gotcha. I was just looking at it from a serious perspective. regards, G.
  13. Let's assume that trading Miller would be a "good" thing. What kind of futures are you talking about? Prospects might be NHL ready (I suspect not), but likely will be a year or so away. Picks this year (and perhaps next) likely won't be close to NHL ready for perhaps as much 4 - 5 years. A lot of the current core will be getting into the latter half of their careers by that point. regards, G.
  14. Well, what is a reasonable offer for Hughes? - 2022 7th OA? okay - 2023 1st rnd pick? perhaps - other higher lvl picks? sure - prospects? maybe.... - players? maybe not The Devils do not impress me as a deep team. Would they like to add Quinn Hughes? Sure. What players on their current roster would they be willing to give up? Hischier? Which of those guys would the Canucks want (based on age, on the skill level of the player, etc). How many of those could the Canucks afford on their cap? Or are the potential prospects still in an early developmental stage? They may perhaps become good players, but how long will it take for them to become "good"? I don't see Hughes being traded in this case. regards, G.
  15. Interesting thing, when I looked at this past season's stats (rather than career numbers) they show Garland as a .43 assists per game, while Boeser is at .32 apg. regards, G.
  16. Or, just do both? One is a team building exercise, and the other is a conditioning exercise. The conditioning exercise can be almost anywhere and would be part of an off season training routine. regards, G.
  17. Perhaps this has already been said, but I can't be arsed to check: the Grouse Grind is a team building exercise. This is for bonding and esprit de corps. The physical conditioning thing is a secondary benefit. regards, G.
  18. Gilles Meloche. One hell of a goalie. He'd be better remembered around the NHL if he had played with some better teams. regards, G.
  19. They need a new Strength and Conditioning coach. I've heard that Takahashi is good, and he's he's available... regards, G.
