    I just realized that I wrote my article on the career of Stan Mikita one day before his passing with no knowledge of it. Kind of freaky.

      When I was on vacation in Vietnam I woke up with Soundgarden in my head only to head into a craft beer place in Saigon to a Soundgarden marathon, all the whike thinking "whoa, what are the odds? This is great!" Then I learned why they were playing so much Chris Cornell music.  

       

      As an aside, I credit Anthony Bourdain with inspiring my trip to Vietnam. Damn, do I ever miss Parts Unknown. Such a terrific show.
