Anyone have the video or audio of his availability? -
[Signing] Canucks re-sign Jett Woo
Ronning4center replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Well as we don't currently have Bear, Burroughs or Juulsen under contract and Myers is reported to be on his way out...it kind of looks like this 1) Hronek 2) Woo 3) Mcward I'd say the canucks did this knowing what was up. -
Everyone keeps saying deep draft but after listening to Craig button outside of the top 4 its kind of a mushy middle. Late first to third rounders could all be equal. So deep in the sense that you could get some late round steals...not deep enough that a late first rounder is a guaranteed NHL starter. We have 3 third round picks...could be exciting.

[Signing] Islanders re-sign Bo Horvat
Ronning4center replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Is it just me or did Bo really just seem to want to pad his numbers, not get injured and really just look for a pay day. Lots of folks here love on him but dude wanted money and didn't really seem to care about the team. Also I liked Bruce as well but I'm also starting to realize he was a moral coach...not a good coach. I think we may need to apologize to management here soon. I think we were wrong... -
[Signing] Canucks re-sign Andrei Kuzmenko

Yeah fair enough but we cant suck for ever. Retaining good assets at good cap is still important. Can't we get a second from someone else? -

(Rumour) 4 teams interested in J.T. Miller
Ronning4center replied to combover's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Maybe similar but Tocchet beat the hell out of scott stevens and scored a hat trick on Marty Brodeur in the same game in his thirties. I'm not sure people here realize how bad ass Tocchet is. -
Who will thrive and who won't survive under Rick?

I don't know the guy on a personal level. If he routinely punches cats or steals from orphanages I'll roast him with you. Just trying to kill the negativity here. Dudes gonna be here for 3 years. Let's give him a chance. The players will be our litmus. -

He had 1000 points and 150 fights in the nhl. He beat up Scott Steven's and scored a hat trick on Marty brodeur when he was in his 30s. You talk a lot of smack over a dude who already proved he's awesome. You never made a mistake in your life? You must be sent from heaven. -
Its amazing what a boss can do though. Ive worked for guys that were tough as nails and you had respect for. It ups your game big time. Everyone loved Bruce and they said they'd go to war for him...but did they? I sure didnt see it. Tochett had 40 goal seasons with 10 fights. Foote blocked shots and ate them like skittles...Gonchar played during one of the most ruthless eras of slashing and elbowing and still put up almost 1000 points as a Dman. These guys walked the walk. Its legit.

Hmm I was just having a chat with my wife about this. She said the same thing. I'm not sure where the limit is...somewhere between Holocaust and chernobyl I guess. Maybe just get more creative with words and not using nasty metaphors? I dunno maybe I'm just cheesed at the media. Like a 6 year old punching his baby brother in the face and looking at mom all innocent "what? But he deserved it mom" or " what I didn't do anything". Ya you did guys...you blew it up because you wanted clicks...this is on you too.
