  1. [PGT] Vancouver Canucks vs. Montreal Canadiens

Team lost all of it's swagger and pushback once Bo and DD went down. Love Greener but it's time to start benching some vets and not the kids.
  2. [PGT] Vancouver Canucks vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

I don't know what's irritating me more, our goaltending or Edler constantly not passing to Boeser on the PP. How many times does the boy have to tap the ice Eddie?
  3. Taking Pettersson off of line 1 and not putting him back at least half way thru this game when your team isn't scoring, bad move. Dunno if I'm trippin but was Dahlin not on PP1? Saw Liljegren there instead, another bad move. Calls were all going Canada's way, switched the momentum. Happy that Canada won but lame way of having the outcome.
  4. Wondering why Sweden's coach hasn't put Pettersson back with Nylander and Andersson yet
  5. [PGT] Anaheim Ducks vs. Vancouver Canucks

"STOP THE F****** PUCK" - Travis Green
  6. Olli Juolevi | D

Bingo. His hockey IQ, offensive instincts and passing are on another level, as long as he's playing with other elite players that can read his plays, he'll put up the points. I'd definitely be comfortable with him manning the point between Boeser and Pettersson on PP1 moving forward.
  7. Jonathan Dahlén | C/LW

Because the logical thing wouldn't be to just not sign players you don't want... right?
  8. Prospect to make 2018 Canucks

Disagree, in the 'new NHL' it's possible, teams like NJ being proof, as long as the kids being brought in are ready. Benning pretty much said a month ago on the radio that, barring any changes, EP is gonna be on the team as a winger to help him ease into the NHL and Gaudette will be a guy who will start in the bottom 6 and can work himself up the line up, and I completely agree, both look NHL ready. The one guy who could surprise all of us is Dahlen. I think he's better than most of us think he is. OJ has a good chance if we trade Hutton and he has a strong showing. Demko could also be there if we trade one of the goalies, but I feel they'll wait till at least mid season with him.
  9. Jersey toss in Ottawa

I think it's very disrespectful, but I also feel bad for Sens fans with the moves their GM is making and having an owner like that. We're blessed with Lindenning and Aquilini
  10. And the defensively weak Gagner is back again..
  11. Benning Mentality

Virtanen, McCann, Demko, Tryamkin, Forsling, Boeser, Gaudette, Joulevi, Lockwood, Pettersson, Lind, Gadjovich. All made it, or on track to become NHL players (bolded). Yeah I get you're point of saying that other teams have had more that have played, but we're not rushing our prospects, hence the signings of Gagner, Vanek, MDZ, etc. The luxury of development.
  12. Benning Mentality

No one's trolling, if you're part of the 'fan base' that has a hard time seeing the bigger picture and realizing that a rebuild takes longer than a couple years, that's on you. Btw, I'm sure we have one of the highest % of players making the NHL out of the draft, per draft, under Benning. 5 alone from the first draft and many more to come (idk if you've heard but players don't always make the NHL right away), but continue Also, just to reply to your last point, we were second last the previous season in GF, and now we're 21/31 with the injuries to our key forwards. The team is better than last year, and people around the league have also been complimenting the 'new look Canucks'. But I guess if it's a positive to our management/staff some fail to notice. Benning has been able to rebuild the organization in just a few years after being left bare by Gillis and has managed to find elite players in Boeser, Pettersson and Demko without having a top 2 pick while drafting a solid support group and keeping the team competitive. Just have patience, we'll be good soon.
  13. Benning Mentality

Because we always hoped for the best case scenario with every prospect while looking at potential and what they could be. We've never had the caliber of prospects that we've had since the 2013 draft, period. We're not just hoping for the best case scenario's, our prospects are performing to that standard. Our group of kids that we have right now are on another level, led by Elias Pettersson.
  14. Benning Mentality

I still don't get how some fans and media members still think our management is inadequate. I think it was yesterday, Tony Gallagher was saying that this is a poor management and calling the team a "hot steaming pile of poo" and how it's sad that a team with a 40 goal scorer isn't able to do better (guessing he thinks a rebuild is done with one player?) and that the team is going nowhere. Also, he talked about how the treatment of Rodin will affect players wanting to sign here because Rodin is gonna tell everyone about his experience and no player will want to come here... laughable lmao This is the best management we've had in a long time and the best set of kids ever.
  15. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

Man, I was already so impressed with the zone entry, how he dropped the puck behind himself and pivoted away from the opponent player to gain control in the zone. And then the shot happened... He thinks the game at such an elite level it's crazy.
