  1. I Think Alex Edler is a Liability

  2. I usually bet against my favorite team. If they lose, I win some money, it's bittersweet.   If I lose, meh, it was only 2 bucks, plus my team won!
  3. Andrey Pedan Talk (new)

Pedan has been great. If our d-line starts getting banged up, it would be nice to see him get a look.
  4.   That's exactly my point, they made a choice, for money. Why should we all feel sorry for their situation. If for example I choose to work in Vancouver for an IT company, but they make it clear that it could involve relocating, within the years of the contract provided. Well first I'd make sure I get paid enough. Then the company acts on it and asks me to move to Toronto for 9 months of the year, it would be really hard. I wouldn't say my world has fallen apart, and that I have lost everything. Because I haven't lost everything. It's okay. I knew this could happen. /hwtalk
  5. That's the thing, I'm not slagging her about being high maintenance or being a head case. You're kinda missing my points and putting words in my mouth. If I'm being dramatic, it could be because I'm french Canadian.  Her reaction in front of the media was juvenile.
  6. If money isn't everything than quit, leave. She wants to honor the contract? Is honor everything? What is everything? Please. Elaborate.
  7. That had some tones of racism to it. I have no idea what you are trying to defend at this point. I didn't say she couldn't say anything, I'm saying that she is over reacting and being way too dramatic. Her life isn't nearly as bad as she is making it out to be, and I'm calling her out on it. If this is the hardest thing their relationship goes through, they are laughing! Now if Prust was going to war, then I'd have some sympathy. She doesn't know for sure if hes going to come back or not. Hes on the other side of Canada (super dangerous here on the west, in fact he hurt his ankle over here). I'd still have sympathy even if he were going to war for his current wage (in case you think it's all about money).
  8. What? I'm not sure if you're trolling me or you just didn't read past the word 'contracts'.
  9. Maybe I'm just not into reality TV. It just annoys me that people take contracts, knowing their obligations, then when asked how they feel, she could have said "Yeah, it sucks. We have obligations, but I look forward to moving to Vancouver."   Instead she says "my whole world had collapsed" or "I'd lost everything I'd had" or "Vancouver isn't Toronto" or "I was demolished" I mean, come on. Isn't she being a little dramatic? They are going to be long distance for a while, she didn't lose everything, she still has her family and job. She is planning on moving in 8 months.
  10.   I'd make the same choice, but I wouldn't be looking for sympathy.
  11. Burrows to meet with NHL re TooToo

Tootoo is a pretty dirty player, hes got a bit of a history. Ironically two run ins were with guys that currently play for us.   "Tootoo has faced NHL disciplinary action on multiple occasions for his actions. On March 17, 2007, Tootoo punched defenceman Stéphane Robidas of the Dallas Stars in the face during a game. Robidas was knocked unconscious and suffered a concussion. Two days later the NHL issued Tootoo a five-game suspension without pay, and accusations of "dirty" play were leveled.   These accusations were resurrected after an incident on October 11, 2007, in which Tootoo hit the head of Daniel Winnik of the Phoenix Coyotes with his shoulder.   On December 6, 2011, the NHL again suspended Tootoo, this time for two games, as a result of a charging incident against Buffalo Sabres' goaltender Ryan Miller in a game played on December 3, 2011.The incident occurred after Nashville's own GM, David Poile, publicly supported league action to prevent such hits on goaltenders.   Columbus Blue Jackets' forward Derek Dorsett accused Tootoo of throwing a sucker punch at him during a game on February 20, 2013."   I can't see Burrows saying anything about his brother. If he did, then that speaks lowly of his character. I don't think there should be a meeting nearly a week later, after a couple games. Do a phone interview. Tootoo should have been a better sportsman and kept it on the ice.
  12. The players and families know what they have signed up for. It's business. Boohoo, I'm earning millions doing what I love. I have to move my beautiful family and house to a new beautiful city. If it's such a big deal, quit and move with him. They both chose their careers over spending time with each other. That's life. Live with the choices you make. Don't complain about things you can't control, take advantage of the things you can.
  13. Burrows? Do We Really Need Him?

Tootoo should shut up, if he has a problem, take it up with the league. Don't run to the media. Burrows wasn't even there to defend himself (in front of the media).
  14. [GDT] Vancouver Canucks @ Buffalo Sabres, 10:00 am, 7/11/2015.

Early game today, lets make this an early win!!!!!
  15. [PGT] Penguins 3-2 Canucks

I see some people expecting Hansen to put up 20+ goals in this thread. He was drafted in the 9th round (287th) overall. Hes awesome defensively, great on the PK and can also put up 10-15 goals and 30-35+ points. That is bloody awesome!
