Just a follow up on this and the recent goalie talk -
No goalies will be demanding trades during the season, it is too hard with all the changing variables (such as injuries, cold streaks, hot streaks) to flat out say that Player A is a starting goalie now. Any goalie demands that may occur, will happen towards the end of the season/beginning of the offseason. The league may notify you if a goaltender is trending to starter territory while the season is still on, and if this is still the case in the offseason, a move must be made then.
Starting next season, we will implement a list of starting goalies on the spreadsheet. This list will be updated at the beginning of every new season (exact date TBD), but teams will only be permitted to have one goalie from this list. Keep in mind that this list will only contain true starting goalies, and goalies in a 1A/1B split will likely not be included on the list. I am trying to think of making things easier and just having a minimum games started requirement (say 55+ or 60+ means a goalie is on the list), but that may be too hard to do due to injuries/amount of back-to-backs a team has/other factors. So, the list may just be created based off of real life team situations.
I hope this can clear everything up for the remainder of this season
