Yes, I noticed that too, both on McNabb and in the more general improvement in his game since Tocchet took over. J.T. is a force and when he plays a physical game it sets his skill free. Same with Ovi and MacKinnon, and yeah, he can be that good. He absolutely has taken over some of Schenn's protection role and that's rubbing off on the whole team. I like where this is going. Back when J.T. first got here it was clear that he was the team's emotional leader. A few ups and downs since then but we're seeing it again. Players like J.T. don't grow on trees and Tocchet is the perfect coach for him.
