  1. [Discussion] What Now?

It's not exactly correct definition: take Patrice Bergeron, his career PPG is 0.746, and hi's definitely not a "median" first liner
  2. And of course Willie is an expert of NHL readiness ... of players. Or is he?
  3. I keep thinking that the brain, like, say, Ray Ferraro, could be very instrumental in Canucks front-office
  4. Do you mean they're running NHL veterans day care? Oh, yeas, vets want "to be here", they just don't want to PLAY correspondingly
  5. Yes, because they with so-call "russian factor" can easily expose coaches/management's BS
  6. Can you just spell names of defenders Canucks keeping? Then you'll realize that it is unrealistic for Tree to expect more ice-time with any coach next season. So he was facing another year or two of the same ... If anything "can't be trusted", that will be Canucks development practice.
  7. BS, he played seriously better then Edler and Sbisa, and Hutton at times (different style though). So he's NOT bitching about time, he's just exposing this "should earn" BS. He realized that this will continue and he just don't want it. And by KHL standards he's not a rookie
  8. Disgruntled Jake Virtanen interview

again, it's a rotten concept. It's like saying that in big orchestra the guy will earn 2-nd Violins spot by playing hard on Triangle
  9. Disgruntled Jake Virtanen interview

I think the best thing Canucks can do for Jake is ... trade him to Toronto. Here ... I said that Put yourself in Jake's shoes: if even with Rodin (and to lesser degree, Burrows) injured Willi is not playing him with Bo and Baer, what he can expect later ... It's a rotten concept: "to earn a spot" by doing something that your coach wants, even if it's not suited you skills set. Some coaches just should not be allowed to work with young talents ...
  10. Disgruntled Jake Virtanen interview

when WD sends 4th line on ice he expects them to grind, and no to be "a fast, goalscoring freight train". That's why you can't see it from Jake.
  11. Do you think we are still in September?
  12. and who exactly says that Nikita is not in a game shape? And who is in a game shape? Edler? Larsen? I afraid that Canucks are about to repeat Bure story. And of all people Trevor should know a thing or two about that.
  13. Yeah, right! That's why you quote whole bunch of his words. You obviously didn't want us to read them ...
