just walk around Keefer and Pender streets in Chinatown. You'll find everything from awesome $2 bao to great pizza to very high end Chinse-fusion.

    3. -DLC-

      -DLC-

Indian Roti Kitchen or Las Tortas..both on Cambie.  If you're at a game you head South over the Cambie Bridge then keep going up Cambie for a couple of blocks...they're both on the right hand/West side of the street.

Las Margaritas in Kits is fun too.  Noisy/cramped though.

      I.Am.Ironman

Quick bite? Chicken Shwarma from Al Basha in kits.. $8 and delish

Sit down? Tavola on Denman. they have their every day pasta menu but they have a chalkboard menu that isn't posted on their website. The chalkboard menu changes daily depending on what they have in.

Fine Dining? Le Crocodile on Burrard and Smithe. High end french cuisine but will set you back $100+ per person. One of the best meals of my life.

  2. Looking to go somewhere sunny in November, is Bahamas worth the extra money? Or should I stick to what I know and go back to Cuba? Open to anywhere Safety and food are my main priorities

    1. CanuckinEdm

      CanuckinEdm

Food is a priority and your going thinking Cuba?

I would rather Mexico, Jamaica, or Dominican over Cuba

I didn't really enjoy the Bahamas as much as I thought I would when I went, especially at the cost. If you're thinking about it, I would reccoment the Domincan.

  3. anyone have advice or tips for going to Bahamas in November

Ask Tommy for some shorts. Find a mama to go with. Learn phrases like What da wybe is?

  4. I wonder if high scoring is going to be an anomaly for a season or two as the keepers adjust to smaller pads or if the change will be to great. One thing is for sure, the elite goaltenders are going to standout more with the gear restrictions they have now.

  5. Oliver Wahlstrom 5 points in 14 games @ Boston College ... ouch

  7. Unpopular opinion:

Reduce schedule to 62 games, home & away with each team.

    Pros:

-Higher calibre hockey due to reduced fatigue, injuries, over-saturation of games

    -More emphasis on rivalry matches

-Every point really matters from day 1

      Ticket prices would go up
      Player salaries would go down
      Profits would be reduced
      Fans would get less games

Too many cons vs the pros

20 fewer games? No thanks. I'd be ok with reducing the season to an even 80 games, but that's all. Want to increase the quality of hockey? Fold a couple of sunbelt teams and relocate a couple others.

I'd do 3 years 8.5 million per in a heartbeat but he would probably be looking at an Eriksson or Okposo contract in the range of 6-7x6-7.

Once got Horvat's name and # stitched onto my jersey at Pacific Coast Cresting for $25 (they were having a sale). I would definitely look somewhere besides the team store to do it for you.

    3. Cramarossa

      Cramarossa

Team store definitely isn't the only option. With that said, I prefer it to ensure the fonts and colors are right. I've gotten other Nucks jerseys done in different places, and the shade of blue was off, letters slightly too narrow/wide etc.

    4. luckylager

      luckylager

      Haven't bought a jersey since 2012.

At the time it was $115 plus tax for numbers, lettering, shoulder patches, the left chest patch "V" and a right chest "A"

Hejduk scored 36 goals and 68 points against the Canucks, more than any other team.

  17. Our bottom six is gonna be top 10 in the NHL next year

    1. TheHitman

In terms of tough to play against probably top five.

    2. Coconuts

      Coconuts

I'm actually looking forward to it, it's been a while since our bottom six has looked this strong. But I imagine we'll have to ship out a guy or two we already had? We're looking crowded up front now.

  18. Elite goalie - Demko

Elite point producing center - Pettersson

    Elite scoring winger - Boeser

    Elite two-way center - Bo

Elite Dman - ? I love Hughes but in the top 20 scoring Dman last year only 2 were under 6 feet

    3. Time Lord

      Time Lord

I think the fact there are 2 in the top 20 shows that it's possible.

I think there's only 2 in the top 20 because most NHL players aren't under 6 feet.

    4. Time Lord

      Time Lord

It's also worth noting that none of the top 20 are bad skaters.

  19. one of our two fourth rounders we traded for Samuel Pahlsson turned into Josh Anderson

If we kept that pick, maybe Gillis selects Ben Thomson, Kevin Roy or Erik Karlsson instead and then this status update doesn't even happen.

Totally agree. I think that the high-end talent in '15 is better than in '03.

  21. Having Ovi definitely helps but their team is built on size and speed

  22. Benning should sign Balazs Sebok

  23. I hope Lawrence PIlut is on Bennings radar

      Quantum

Seems to have signed with Buffalo -- http://buffalonews.com/2018/04/30/reported-sabres-signee-pilut-named-swedish-leagues-top-defenseman/

That said, I'm really intrigued by Joel Persson, Elias Pettersson's teammate, he's only 23. Could be a great under the radar signing considering Persson only made his SHL debut this season and held up nicely with Vaxjo this season. He's also garnered some NHL interest.

  24. Sidney Crosby has only played 1 full season since he entered the league, Imagine what his point totals would be without all the concussions...

It's almost as if someone in the Boston front office was really good at finding excellent players in later rounds during the mid-late 00s
