    If the Canucks want to be competitive they need to stop over paying role players (3rd or 4th liners). The good teams pay for a productive top 6 and top 4 D and fill the rest of the roster with affordable contracts that don't handcuff them long term.

    Seems like a good fit but unfortunately he is likely going to get paid like a second pair guy when he is really a third pair guy.

    Tanev would be perfect for us if we can get him back for cheap. Only 1 year left at an affordable price. Hughes loved him and he would fit right in at a low short term cap hit.

    I don't wish ill on him either. I just think he wanted out but also wanted to stay popular amongst the Canuck fan base at the same time so he said all the right things. Kind of happy we kept Miller who just says what ever he wants.

    On team tank but if there was a game I wouldn't mind seeing them win it's this one. Horvat is way too happy he's on the Islanders. Not buying this he wanted to be a Canuck forever bs. I think he planned to go to UFA the whole time. Hope the Islanders miss the playoffs and their pick becomes the first overall next year.

    They need a real shooting threat. Miller and Petey hardly ever shoot. Hughes shoots more than Petey or Miller. Too much passing it around. Too pedictable.

    Would be great if someone could feed a pass to Pettersson in his wheelhouse on the pp. He never looks like he's going to shoot when the pass comes to him. Too predictable. Too easy to defend.

    Never liked this trade. Had chemistry with Petey. Jimbo shouldn't just trade every whining player. See Puljujarvi. Here's hoping LIinus Karlsson pans out!

    Yeah too much forcing passes that aren't there. Petey guilty of that as well. PP needs to make the high percentage passes. Petey should be the main trigger man. Unfortunately he always looks like ge's looking to pass. Too easy to defend.

    Made this same proposal a few weeks ago. Mostly got flamed. Rather than have a 3rd coming back I was proposing the Devils retain sallary to fit Subban. At least Subban has some experience being a top pairing guy. This also frees up cap space for next year to add a better RHD. if Myers has an off year he may be a hard contract to trade.
