  1. (Proposal) Kevin Connauton Free Agency

Agreed. He would prob be the player we want Hutton and Pouliot to be. Some actual scoring from the backend.
  2. Barring him getting re-signed by Arizona, why not bring him back? He wouldn’t cost much and would only need a shorter term deal. He had a very solid season for Arizona. 73g 11g 10a 21p +3 116 hits and 72 blocked shots His 11 goals were all at even strength which is kinda strange. Might be a great boost for our power play as I remember he has a clapper or a slapper. 2 years @ 1.75?
  3. The more I look at Carolina’s roster for next year Lucas Wallmark looks to be ready for the NHL making Ryan expendable IMO. Agree about Jokinen as well. Stempniak would be a great veteran but Jokinen or Vanek is more likely.
  4. Yes I fully agree about Beagle. Big body who’s great in the faceoff circle and can easily play the 3rd line center. He might be a better choice over Ryan. Would give security to our offensive wingers.
  5. Agree it’s probably likely he re-signs in Carolina but you never know. I think he’d fit in great as our second line center so we can keep Sutter on the 3rd. Gagner is a similar type player but he’s not a true centerman like Ryan.
  6. Will be 32 years old next season but is a late bloomer to the NHL. In 78 games played he has 15 goals and 22 assists along with a 56% faceoff percentage in over 900 draws. Seems like he could replace some of the scoring loss while being a quality leader and good in the faceoff dot. 2-3 years @ 3.5 million?
  7. To Anaheim Markus Granlund Nikolay Goldobin To Vancouver Josh Mahura (seen in a different Proposal) 2017 4th Round Pick The Ducks are in win now mode for a few more seasons. Granlund and Goldobin provide them cheap bottom six depth that can play in the top six. Anaheim has a lot of expiring contracts of older players this offseason. Canucks recoup their missing 4th round pick and get a promising young D prospect. This is all contingent on the Sedins coming back for another year.
  8. Me to... I’ll throw in Goldobin with Tanev for their 1st and Sanheim.
  9. (Proposal) Van-Phi

Overvalueing.... no. Our defence goes to absolute garbage from below average when he’s out.
  10. To Philadelphia D Chris Tanev RW Nikolay Goldobin To Vancouver 2018 1st Round Pick 2018 3rd Round Pick D Phillipe Myers Tanev would be a huge boost to Phillys backend with Goldobin providing some depth scoring. Canucks would finally gain some more draft picks and a good defensive prospect for Utica.
  11. VAN C/LW Nic Petan WIN 2018 2nd Round Pick The Jets are stacked with young forwards and Petan has been kind of lost in the shuffle. Acquiring Petan would give us the opportunity to trade Baertschi and or some of the other top 9 forwards we have or the Sedins retiring. Petan-Horvat-Boeser Sedin-Sedin-Virtanen Leipsic-Sutter-Eriksson Gaunce-Motte-Archibald Obviously there’s a good chance Gaudette and Pettersson could make the roster as well.
  12. Brendan Leipsic | #9 | LW/C

Leiper’s gonna pull a Jonathan Marchessault and become a very good player for us.
  13. (Proposal) VAN - NYI + VAN - MIN

I’d love to keep both Granlund and Gagner and have them work out here in Vancouver. But we have a log jam of forwards now with the acquisitions of Motte and Leipsic plus the emergence of Archibald. Just my opinion but I see Granlund as the forward who definatley gets moved. Gagner I could see sticking around but I feel he’s next in line to get moved.
  14. To NYI Sam Gagner (1.5 mil retained) To Van 2018 4th Round Pick IMO Gagner would benefit playing on the wing in the East. It was a mistake signing him here in Van especially for 3 seasons. He gets a chance to play with his good friend John Tavares, assuming he re-signs with the Islanders. Van retains half his salary and recoups there 2018 4th Round pick as well as creating a roster spot for one of our prospects. To Min Markus Granlund To Vancouver 2018 3rd Round Pick (Las Vegas 3rd) Again creating another roster spot for a player who’s fallen off a bit in Van. I still see Granlund as a solid Top 9 player when put in the right situation. He goes to the Wild here and play with his brother Mikael as a “cheaper” RFA option to replace the expiring contracts of the aging Matt Cullen and Daniel Winnik. *without free agent signings/other trades* BAERTSCH-HORVAT-BOESER SEDIN-SEDIN-GOLDOBIN ERIKSSON-SUTTER-VIRTANEN LEIPSIC-GAUNCE-ARCHIBALD PETTERSSON,GAUDETTE, or MOTTE could all pencil in as well but likely start in Utica.
  15. (Proposal) Offseason Van-Dal

I do agree on Goldobin being a project albeit a very skilled one. Hard to see him fitting into our lineup next year with all the other wingers we currently have. Might have to move our 2nd to Dallas to get them to move Honka.
