  1. Straight up NO. Burrows imo was a different player who actually worked hard every night, Eriksson on the other hand doesn't work that hard and he just doesn't have that offensive game anymore, as much as I like Benning and said this last year this is his worst signing and hopefully he learned from it. Just realized the OP spelled Ericksson wrong
  2. Can't post the video, but Sportsnet has it with Green calling out Horvat calling him average the other night. Click the link at the bottom to watch the video. “I thought Bo was average the other night,” Green said, referring to a 5-2 loss to the Calgary Flames on Saturday when Horvat managed just two shots on net and was a key part of a dismal power play that went 0-for-7 and allowed a shorthanded goal. “I don’t think he was horrible. I’m not looking for a ‘bounce-back.’ I don’t think he was great the other night and I hope he’s great tomorrow. “He lost the puck a few times that I don’t think he usually loses. A couple of pucks bounced off his stick. I thought he was average. Talking about it. . . there were a lot of guys that were average. He’s not the only one. We had a lot of players that were just average.” http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/green-shakes-canucks-power-play-moving-horvat-off-top-unit/

  4. This Video sums it up the 5th and 6th killed them especially the pass ball on 3rd strike and the missed fly ball in left, just brutal.
  5. Sooner or later this is going to continue to get out of control to the point where they may just ban the Anthem all together. Personally I don't want it banned but in their eyes, the easiest way to escape it all they may ask to stop playing the Anthem. Sure it will cause some controversy, but it won't last as long as the controversy with the protesting during the Anthem as long as they continue doing the Anthems.
  6. I know exactly what you're talking about I hear PBP guys say that all the time it is kind of annoying, yes they're right but who cares they're playing at this field not another. Regarding the last comment I have heard Buck say it before at Blue Jays games, if the shift wasn't on that would of been a base hit, or he got robbed of a base hit because of the shift, I know Jays PBP will bring it up... American ones probably don't and just accept it as a good defensive play, and call it smart strategy.
  7. You pretty much answered your own question, kind of hard to argue that they're not Canada's team when they're the only Canadian team in all of Canada... These other teams you speak of south of the border are American teams not Canadian. Just to clear it up they're Canada's team because they're the only one in Canada.
  8. 1 team down and 1 more to go
  9. Definitely agree as long as the Sedins aren't playing top line minutes keep them rested more and allow the young legs to take more of the time. I thought Virtanen looked good he had a lot of jump in his game, not sure what the coach is thinking but guessing Virt and Boes are going to sub in and out for each other depending on the opposition teams size and physically. But like you said as long as the coach uses the depth wisely that could help benefit them for the long run.
  10. Well I guess when the trade rumors come up again half way through the season I know I won't be surprised.
  11. If the past few years still hasn't changed your Homer glasses on him then I guess they never will, just because the stat sheet looks decent doesn't mean he's good still lol. -39 a couple years ago or -20 last year if you want to go by stats yeah my blinders must be still on and reading those stats wrong...
  12. That's exactly what needs to be done, you nailed it with that comment. He needs to adapt to being a stay at home D not offense, he's not the same player he once was and he's way to slow to get back, it's actually annoying how he just hacks and wacks his stick at other forwards when they pass him because he can't catch up and then takes a penalty which is exactly what he did last night.
  13. Was a good game wasn't expecting that tbh, but what I was paying more attention too was the style of play this team was playing under this new coach and have to say I really enjoyed it haven't said that in a long time. Will the team be able to play like that all year long, I sure hope so, but time will tell. I like the up tempo style generating offense, it's exciting and enjoyable to watch, the coach gets a pass in my books so far after the first game, hope it continues! The only negative which hasn't changed in a couple years is still Edler, and how damn slow he still is, hard to watch him play still, but other than that enjoyed everyone else.
  14. Thanks, didn't go look at player stats just went from the front game sheet stat, not as one sided then as I originally thought lol.
  15. Like I said earlier this conversation is something to have 10 years from now not now, time will tell.
