watching Gaunce, his skating isn't the best, but his positional play makes up for it. I think his playing style will translate to the nhl level thus why he's looked better in the NHL preseason compared to the young stars tourney.

thought he looked just as good as Pahlsson (when he was a Canuck, so past his prime) in his first preseason with the Canucks. solid defensively and chipped in a few goals

Tom Wilson basically just hit and fought his way into the league. I dont think Virtanen can fight guys the way Wilson did... But it would be nice if he could.

whats odd about that is that Virtanen played a good u18 tournament after that.

I dont think he trolled them. They tried to troll him and he just responded by destroying them in the corners, reverse hitting them, and attempting to pull a powerforward glove punch (Lucic, Bertuzzi, and Kassian would be proud) on Hayden in a scrum. Awesome

just played "the brown milan luchik" in ball hockey. the guy was ridiculous, mid twenties pretending he's Lucic in ball hockey... he even walked around with a slouch on his back

Virtanen's dad looked around 6'3. Jake still looks baby faced so maybe he can grow a bit.

this. Ritchie-McDavid-Virtanen would be ideal imo but Ritchie's playing good with Gauthier now so its gonna be hard to break that line up.

work up to heavy triples. Those really helped me get past my plateau. I was doing pyramids then went back to madcows 5x5, then 4x4, and then 6x3. Also do some heavy overhead pressing, they helped me alot since my front delts were lacking.

Misread your post as well. He is more of a Richards in terms of physicality. Virtanen's shot is much better than Kreider's but the way they burst into the zone and hit is so similar. Watching Kreider in last years playoffs was a treat, wouldn't mind if Virtanen turned out to be like him.
