I’d like to see Gudbranson given a shot on the power play as a net front guy like Byfuglien was with the hawks. Guddy is huge and hard to move out of the way. Could work amiright?
Meh, Byfuglien had lotsa points and offensive prowess prior to that experiment so I wouldn't expect the same result. With our luck he'd probably get injured by friendly fire.
If you park him in front of the net for the whole 2 minutes. Otherwise, his lack of speed and the way he handles the puck like a grenade on his stick means he needs to be kept as far away from the power play as possible.
I seem to recall Byfuglien being allowed to get away with a fair bit in front of the net (didn't he give a gloved punch to Luongo one playoff series without getting a penalty?). I'm not sure Guds would get the same latitude.
