  1. Perhaps lol. I watch Canucks and Tampa more than any other team so I see how our prospects play similarly to theirs. Those comparisons are based on me watching Tampa games when I can and the highlights from our prospects. I don't think they're exactly the same but very similar play styles. Goldobin however plays exactly like Kucherov. If you had a highlight reel of Goldy and Kucherov you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. They score the exact same way and look identical.
  2. Brock Boeser - Kyle Okposo Jake Virtanen - Raffi Torres Adam Gaudette - Alex Killorn Bo Horvat - Ryan O'Reilly Sven Baertschi - Ondrej Palat Markus Granlund - Jiri Hudler Jonathan Dahlen - Mike Cammalleri Nikolay Goldobin - Nikita Kucherov (I think he's the most skilled prospect we have) Olli Juolevi - Marc Edouard Vlasic Ben Hutton - Jake Gardiner Nikita Tryamkin - Andrej Sustr (could be the next Chara) Troy Stecher - Tyson Barrie Thatcher Demko - Corey Schneider I think we have a decent prospect pool. We're just missing the high end talent. I think Juolevi could turn into a Ryan Suter #1D and Tryamkin has shown flashes of that dominant #1 like Chara. We're just missing a 1C imo. Patrick, Hischier or someone else could fill that hole in this draft.
  3. Kendrick Lamar - DAMN: 7/10

Not his best work but still has some great songs.

I thought the album was terrible by Kendrick's standards lol

      DNA was hot though.

  4. Quit crushing my dreams with your logic people. It's not fair! I'm going to be honest, I was drinking last night. I still stand by what I say. BC boys will lead us to the cup
  5. I want BC born players playing on the Canucks. Call me crazy. I think they would be playing harder for the team they grew up cheering for. Trade 1: I want Ryan Johansen. What would it take to get him? No idea. But here's my guess. Vancouver: 2017 1st (2nd overall)*, D Jordan Subban, LW Markus Granlund Nashville: C Ryan Johansen, D Dante Fabbro, RW Colton Sissons *Used NHL lottery simulator and we stayed 2nd. Arizona won 1st overall. Vancouver: D Chris Tanev, LW Sven Baertschi Buffalo: LW Evander Kane I know a lot of you don't want him. But he's a good player and hasn't been a distraction this season. He just needs to smarten up in the off season which I can see him doing. Evander Kane-Ryan Johansen-Brock Boeser Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Loui Eriksson Nikolay Goldobin-Bo Horvat-Jake Virtanen Reid Boucher-Brandon Sutter-Colton Sissons Derek Dorsett Alex Edler-Troy Stecher Ben Hutton-Nikita Tryamkin Olli Juolevi-Erik Gudbranson Jacob Markstrom Ryan Miller Trade for all the BC players. Bring the cup home
  6. An Andrew Ladd comparison is much closer than a Bertuzzi. Took Ladd 4 years to become an NHL players after being drafted. I can see Virtanen doing the same.
  7. Did you know the Leafs clinched a playoff spot? I didn't know until I went on Facebook and there were about 10 posts from TSN about it. I personally don't think that's enough. There needs to be at least 15 by the end of the night.

Ugh, we may have to kick Ontario out of Canada if the Caps $&!# the bed and allow the Leafs into the 2nd round.

  8. Probably just going to get a fine or a couple games rest. Once Chara is retired it's going to be open season on him. How I wish someone would just give the guy a flying elbow to the head and knock him out for a while. Maybe that will get him to smarten up. NHL is a joke league for allowing this guy to continue to do this stuff
  9. Ryan Nugent Hopkins value is at an all time low. I still think he can be a 60+ pt centerman in the NHL. We got a lot of good shooters on the team but we don't really have a playmaker. Nuge could fill that void and i don't think he will cost a lot. What do y'all think

A small part of it is his being an Oiler from a crap Oiler era, but other than that I can't explain why I've just never been a fan of his.

He's got some talent though that's for sure.

      MayRayDown

in the summer of 2018 when the Sedins' contract is up we'll have

      Horvat (23)

      Sutter (29)

      Cassels/Gaunce/Granlund

Cassels/Gaunce (If they pan out) or we''ll find ufa to replace those bottom centres.

Unless Edmonton wants Sutter to be their 3rd line centre or we want a 4.7m 3rd line centre I don't see a fit unless we move Sutter to wing. I think we have much bigger holes on the wings

      RRypien37

Cassels? The dude might be in the ECHL at the start of next year...

  10. Biega kind of reminds me of Torres on the 4th line. The guy just hits everything and he's fast too.

Yeah, I'm really liking him as a fourth line grinder. Love what he brings.

If he could learn to throw 'em, he could carve out a little career for himself.

    3. Quantum

      Quantum

Yeah, Biega's basically trying to prove to Canucks management that he'll be worth keeping around on the roster next season. And frankly, I think it's working. If he's an extra player who can play defense and slot in as a 4th line checking forward from time to time -- that's a huge win. We're likely losing one of Sbisa or Dorsett at the Expansion, so there will be an opening for him.

  11. Would probably take Ben Hutton plus our 1st this year to get Reinhart and even then that might not be enough.
  12. What will Willy do without Megna? Forfeit the rest of the season.
  13. Prospect/young players lineup

    Dahlen-___________-Boeser

    Baertschi-Horvat-Goldobin

    Granlund-Gaudette-Virtanen

    Boucher-Gaunce-__________

    Juolevi-___________

    Tryamkin-Stecher

    Hutton-Gudbranson

    Demko

    Garteig

I think Tryamkin can be our 1D tbh. He's such a mobile skater for a big guy. Huge guy and has been creating offense lately. He looks like Chara out there. I think we need one more good defense prospect and we are all set on the back end.

We just need a 1C now. Another Horvat and we will be in great shape to becoming contenders again.

    1. J-23

      J-23

I like the line up you have there, but i think Horvat is a good number 1 center! My lineup would look like this:

      Baertschi - Horvat - Boeser

      Dahlen -                    - Virtanen

      Granlund - Gaudette - Goldobin

      Cramarossa - Gaunce - Labate

      Juolevi-___________

      Tryamkin-Stecher

      Hutton-Gudbranson

      Demko

      Garteig

      DontMessMe

tbh I would pick Virtanen in 3rd or 4th line plug role

I have a feeling Lockwood may surprise and end up being a solid 3rd liner

  14. What do you think it would take to get Reinhart? Our 1st this year + Hutton? Maybe more.
  15. Im kind of happy that Edmonton looks like they will finally make the playoffs. I would like Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal and Ottawa to make the playoffs. I still hate the Laffs with a passion and hope they miss the playoffs. I would love a Winnipeg vs Ottawa final. That would be so fun to watch
