Why trade Brisebois? Because he has a bit of value, he's bad, he's replaceable via FA, we have too many LD, and because we need picks to get Jack Hughes and one or more RD in the 2019 draft. Huge deadline needed to prep for a massive Hughes package: Out: Edler (2nd), Sutter (2nd), Brisebois (3rd), Nilsson (4th), Del Zotto (6th), Granlund (7th) In: J. Hughes (1st, 0-3 x 2nd, 0-2 x 3rd, 0-2 x 4th, etc.) Ideally we get first overall and stockpile new RD talent, otherwise push in your chips. Stanley Cup in 2022.

I'm saying it based on many viewings. It is my opinion that he doesn't have the talent or the smarts to make the show. Best case scenario is he puts up some points in the A and we flip him to a team desperate to believe in any player born in La Belle Province. Renaud Lavoie is doing our cheerleading so this should be an easy trade for Jimbo: .@renlavoietva: I’ve seen Guillaume Brisebois play twice, the reports are great & I was so impressed. Don’t need to rush him – if he doesn’t start the season with Canucks, I think he’ll finish it there. Give him some time & the fans will enjoy his play.

He'll get called up. He'll never be an NHL regular. Ever. Take it to the bank. Trade him to the Habs for a third rounder while you can.

Brisebois is 100% not an NHL player. Like Jokiharju idea though.

He said 77 (meaning kilos), TSN got it wrong on the tweets. That's fine though. Putting on 5-10 lbs in 4 months is totally doable.
  6. More than 50% of the time I agree with him. What I don't appreciate is when he appeals to his authority in the game to make a point. I have zero issue with internet anonymity on these boards, however, I do feel it's wrong to fake a persona, especially when it's constantly being leveraged to make his points.
  7. Frankly I've got mad respect for CDC's version of Rob_Zepp. It's sort of the perfect CDC burner account. Pick a former pro hockey player totally unknown to even astute fans, but someone who can be verified when fact-checked. Adopt a pro-Canuck bent to appease insecure fans dying for approval. And not any approval, but approval from a former pro hockey player who played for other teams, hobnobs with seemingly everyone in the game, yet fell in love with our beloved Canucks. We must *really* be special! Gotta hand it to him, dude played the long game and won. Crowned CDC champion - every former NHLers dream come true.
  8. Cool. Just to be 100% clear are you actually the Rob Zepp who played in the NHL?
  9. Yes it is. The problem is that management only recently started rebuilding. Amateur scouting is clearly their strength yet they keep dragging the team with poor signings and mediocre trades. Pro scouting and business acumen is clearly their weakness. By the way, are you Rob Zepp the former NHL goalie? If so what an interesting turn of events for you to have become *this* obsessed with a seemingly tertiary team after your hockey career ended. There must be a good story there...
  10. I'm just stoked to engage with management's number one burner account. Not sure why one earth though, that level of philosophy is above my pay grade.
  11. Of course they don't. Good teams use cap space and term on good players.
  12. And yet the Capitals deemed it unnecessary to resign him. Funny that.

So stoked to see Elias in NA. Anybody know how realistic it is he could join Utica? After today, next games are Wednesday and Friday next week. The latter doesn't seem a total stretch. They could use a game breaker, and he just seems to be getting better with more reps.

I'm pretty excited for OJ, but sorry, Shane Malloy is the biggest Canucks homer out there. Hard to take him seriously.

Pettersson with a primary assist in today's game. Half game remaining.
