This week's sign A 13 year old kid was disqualified from the National Scrabble Championships in Orlando Florida for cheating. Apparently he had been palming both blanks for four straight games and his fifth opponent noticed them stuck to his hand when he got up to challenge a play.

It's tough, but as someone who was a P/T smoker, quitting is the best thing you can do for yourself. I found eating a lot of raw veggies helped me. Gave me something to do and it helped in the detox. I haven't touched a cig in a year and I have no desire to now. It just takes time to get to that stage...has nothing to do with luck. Time, willpower, and something else to occupy your mind. Avoid alcohol. Quit them both together. Now I have one or two drinks and have no need to accompany...

good luck. i keep thinking that it will soon be my time to quit. I just enjoy it so damn much and am so damn addicted to the nic hit.
a few things I learned in addiction counseling school; nicotine cravings goaway after 20 minutes, so if you are nic'ing out hard, find 20 minutes of something to do. Tip number two, when the cravings hit, drink a much water as you can get into your stomach in 2 minutes.

What the hell is Marvel doing..the Deadpool movie is to begin filming late this year with Ryan Reynolds in the role of Deadpool...FML...this jackass has already ruined the Green Lantern for me, why does he have to do it to Deadpool too?

It's very interesting you mention the Bay Area thrash bands because I was just commenting to a lady friend of mine last night how even though I didn't think Sacrifice was an influence...in Kreator's earlier sound, I most certainly DID notice quite a few similarities to Slayer, and even moreso to Testament...but you're right on the modern sound...which I actually prefer quite a bit more over the earlier sound. While on the subject of Testament, that's another band that has evolved its sound over the years...if you listen to The New Order, and then Practice What You Preach, for example..the band started out in a bit of a gothic vein, then in PWYP started to focus a bit more on politics and corruption....then with the release of the outstanding The Ritual, which they released to try to get back audiences who were distracted by the grunge movement (I will reserve comment on the grunge movement) .they started to develop what is now their modern sound...and that's when they became really successful, IMO. The new album is, in a word..awesome.

^^ Holy smokes I had never even heard of this band until vanfan73 mentioned them...they've got a great sound, but I have to admit I find it difficult to believe that they influenced bands like Kreator, etc...as far as the pioneering speed metal thing goes... Lemmy says hi.
