  1. No. Larsson will be 27 next summer. By the time our rebuild comes full circle and we're ready to contend, he'll be past his prime, and thats not counting the fact that we'd set ourselves back moving pieces for him, and he could just walk away for nothing after a year and a half anyways.
  2. [Speculation] Carey Price on the market?

Luongo's contract was fine until the CBA changed.
  3. I understand "not wanting a trophy for losing" but throwing it away immediately after you get it on international tv while crying like a 4 year old isn't being competitive, it's just being a sore loser.
  4. Tkachuk vs Kesler

I don’t hate Kesler. I don’t like how his tenure in Vancouver ended but I respect the hell out of him as a player. Tkachuk is scum. I don’t say that because he plays for the Flames, when we passed on him in the draft I was incredibly relieved. He might be able to score but he’s quickly becoming Matt Cooke 2.0
  5. Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas and happy birthday Brock
  6. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

I don’t know why people keep bringing up his weight. The consensus seems to be that he’ll never be huge but does need to put on some weight. Seems like beating a dead horse at this point.
  7. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

That shut down role also had the opposite effect. He was expected to shut down the opposing team's top centre, scoring wasnt his focus. When he didnt need to shut them down he opened it up.
  8. If people think a stadium should exclusively be funded by a team that’s fine. At the same time though they shouldn’t really be upset if that team decides to leave when given a better deal elsewhere. I don’t think a city should be the ones bankrolling a stadium, but at the same time have no issue with them contributing either considering the social economic and cultural benefits they get.
  9. FWIW I blocked a shot in midget off my foot. As soon as I took the boot of my skate off I couldn’t walk anymore, thought for sure it was broken. I went to the hospital and I was told there was no break, just a “deep contusion” I was on crutches for a few days but was back at it a little after a week. The tightness of the skate boot helped keep me going, skating was actually easier than walking around without the support. Now obviously that’s not comparable to taking a point blank Giordano shot off the foot, but if it’s a similar injury I wouldn’t be surprised to see Brock back after the Christmas break.
  10. Erik Karlsson (discussion)

If I were Karlsson I’d be doing the same too. It has nothing to do with the money though, just looking at what a catastrophic mess Ottawa has become. It seems Dorion is making a run at Milbury’s title of dumbest GM.
  11. Hate the flames, hate their fans, but don’t want to see anybody lose their team.
  12. Marchand (Again)

Give him 20 games. The hit alone might not be worth it but his reputation certainly does. He’s clearly never going to learn with slap-on-the-wrist fines and paltry 1-2 game suspensions. If Torres got a 41 game suspension for his rep I don’t think giving Marchand 20 for headhunting is out of line.
  13. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

To me, the fact that he’s able to score at this rate while built like a lich is all the more impressive. Imagine the damage he’ll do once he finally puts some meat on his bones
  14. If it weren't for Subban's older brother nobody would be disappointed to see him leave. Maybe its because we've had identical twin superstars for so long, but people on CDC genuinely seem to expect that just because they wear the same name on the back of their jersey that Jordan is still somehow going to turn into PK. He's a nice kid and I wish him all the success in the world but the Subban hype was always a bit silly for me.
