  1. Pettersson Horvat Boeser - You call it.

I'm hoping Pettersson ends up playing center in Vancouver. Virtanen - Pettersson - Boeser Baertschi - Horvat - Dahlen Goldobin - Gaudette - Granlund Gaunce - Sutter - Gadjovich Obviously leaving out a few players there but I like that lineup, all currently 25 or under except Sutter. That could end up being one of the best 1, 2, 3 center combos in the league. Would love to see it happen.
  2. Olli Juolevi | D

Randomish question but does anyone know how Juolevi's slapshot is? I know he's supposed to be very good at getting wristers through traffic but I haven't heard much about his slapper. I've really been missing having a Salo-like slapshot on the powperplay lately. Hoping maybe Juolevi can make bombs a good part of his game.
  3. Jonathan Dahlén | C/LW

So far it seems like Timra might have a legitimate chance of moving up to the SEL. They're first in the Allsvenskan while Rogle sits at last in the SEL with only 21 points through 26 games. Knowing that his team has the chance to move up you have to wonder if Dahlen will spend the entire season with Timra. He's clearly their best offensive player, leading the team in scoring with 22 points in 19 games while their second leading scorer has 14 points in 26. Personally, I'd love to see Dahlen carry Timra to the SEL.
  4. Nic is gonna be good, I don't.. Dowd it k bye
  5. Sven Baertschi out 4-6 weeks with fractured jaw

How tf did he break his jaw???
  6. [PGT] Vancouver Canucks vs. Calgary Flames

    What happened to Baertschi?
  7. Healthy goaltending rotation or soon to be Nilsson's spot?!!

They should be trying to "prove" Markstrom is a legit starter over the next season or two so they can get maximum return in a trade once Demko is ready. Then they can re-sign Nilsson and go with Demko - Nilsson until Demko becomes the 60 - 65 game guy everyone thinks he can be.
  8. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

    Elias is on pace for 67 points in a 52 game regular season. That would tie him for fourth most points in a single SHL season by anyone ever. 1 Håkan Loob 22 F 1982‑83 36 42 34 76 26 1.167 0.944 2.111 2 Pär Arlbrandt 31 F 2013‑14 53 26 45 71 66 5 11 0 8 0.491 0.849 1.340 3 Bud Holloway 24 F 2012‑13 55 20 51 71 36 25 9 0 2 0.364 0.927 1.291 4 Kristian Huselius 22 F 2000‑01 49 32 35 67 26 15 10 5 9 0.653 0.714 1.367 5 Tony Mårtensson 27 F 2007‑08 55 17 50 67 36 4 8 0 3 0.309 0.909 1.218
  9. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

What are the chances oh him winning league MVP if he keeps up this pace?
  10. Adam Gaudette | C

    Pettersson Horvat Gaudette Gaunce
  11. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

back to back calders for Canucks? Boeser this year and Petersson next? Petersson will probably have a more competitive rookie class but I wouldn't say it's imposible
  12. Eriksson and Edler? Do We Really Need Them?

Eriksson has actually looked alright since coming back, well reliable at least. Not $6 million good but just alright. He does deserve to be in the lineup, which I didn't think he did before his return. With him back I'd run the lines as this: Baertschi - Horvat - Boeser Eriksson - Sutter - Dorsett Sedin - Sedin - Granlund Virtanen - Gagner - Vanek Periodically cycling in Gaunce and Burmi for Virt and Gags and anyone else who could benefit from a scratch. As for Edler, no. No we do not need him. With Tanev out we do need him right now but we do not need him moving forward. I've been a fan of Edler for a long time but it's time for him to move on and accept a trade. Hoping Edler gets traded at the deadline or in the offseason and we keep Tanev for the long haul. Edit: Long-term we absolutely do not need Eriksson either
  13. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

I never said the AHL was full of plugs. It's just a choppier league. I'd be willing to bet Elias won't play more than 20 games in that league, if any. He'll be just fine learning "the grind" in the NHL. It's NHL or SHL next year in my eyes.
  14. Being a left-handed shot, Pettersson is more dangerous at RW if the Canucks plan on using as a winger which I think I doubtful anyways. He'll be our number 1C. That's what he was drafted for.
  15. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

I want to see this as a first unit PP with Boes Baertschi Henrik Boeser Gagner MDZ
