  1. Heard that the Pens deal fell apart because the Pens were offering firsts instead of prospects. If this is true, we absolutely blew it. In 3 years we will paying to get rid of Miller and those picks will be coming into the league. Patrik All-in blows it again
  2. It's actually crazy how knowledgable ex NHL legends are when running a team. Sakic built a SC champion, Yzerman built a SC champion. I'm sure Linden knew what to do as well. Difference is that Sakic and Yzerman's word were trusted...
  3. Can we use PA's own logic against him. A Canucks 2nd is pretty close to a 1st... so pretty much we traded two firsts for Hronik (who PA would say is like a 1st). Therefore with the Horvat and Hornik deals: We sent out 3 first round picks (Horvat, NYI 1st, VAN 2nd) and we got back 4 first round picks (Hronek, NYI 1st, Raty, Beauvillier) Pretty much a free 1st round pick! Steal!
  4. Gonna fill my pockets with guitar picks and throw them on the ice. Show management that the fans can waste picks too. Everyone join.
  5. Got a feeling they tried to get it done before the PIT game today and failed. maybe announced tonight or tomorrow?
  6. Chicago seems to not care about when the pick is, just that they get picks. They're picking up picks that they'll be using in 3 years, which means that, if things work out, these players likely won't be NHLers until 2029-30...
  7. With the trade which occurred yesterday that landed Foote in Nashville, I am wondering if Fabbro is now easier to obtain now more than ever. Fabbro was already pushed down in the depth chart where he was occasionally out of the lineup, but with Foote, it's uncertain he will even be in the lineup going forward. I'm sure the Preds don't want to be spending 2.4M on a guy that they aren't playing, and surely won't like his qualifying offer. Could he be had as cheap as Kravstov was? What would you offer?
  8. A lot of good d-men have been 27... don't know any forwards... maybe he's the d-man we've been looking for
  9. A BC boy that can see we have no RHD... he would be stupid not to join.
  10. I never have had more arguments then the ones that contained the words "You cheated because your stick didn't hit the ground after L!!"
  11. This post made me laugh more then any other post on this site ever has. The stick smash memories hit me right in the heart.
  12. Just read "In the NHL, a visiting-team player places his stick on the ice first for the face-off at center ice. For all other face-offs, a defending team player must place his stick down first. Once they establish position at a face-off, players must hold that position until the puck is dropped." I hear Johnny and Garry also talk about how both teams have to have their stick hit the ground within 5 seconds? Truly, you learn everything everyday
  13. To Vancouver: - Dante Fabbro (2.4M RFA 2023) - Colton Sissons (2.857M UFA 2026) - Kevin Lankinen (1.5M UFA 2023) Total cap: 6.757M To Nashville: - Brock Boeser (6.5M UFA 2025) - Spencer Martin (0.7625M UFA 2025) - Jack Rathbone (minors) Total cap: 7.125M (we may have to add a sweetener? Dermott?) I feel it meets the need of both teams. If you look at Nashville's roster, they are full of Centers (9 centers listed on their roster including: Johansen, Duchene, Granlund) and only have 1 pure RW at the moment (Niederreiter). Fabbro has fallen out of favor, so the Boeser for Fabbro swap is a bonus for both. Canucks get the RHD they need, the RH 3rd line Center they need, and a goalie that could perform better then Martin right now (and perhaps in the future). Martin serves as a fine backup for NSH for a season or 2 until Asharov is ready. ... also should note that Sissons and Fabbro are BC boys
