  1. I might be in the minority here, but I don't want to move Tanev for Barrie, because I still think Tanev can develop his offensive game. If Tanev shoots a lot of pucks over the summer, and works on getting his shot through to the net, I think we might see a Dman with no weakness in his game.
  2. If the price is right, maybe we can get in on him. However, I don't wanna get into a bidding war with EDM or TOR.
  3. To be fair, I'm not sure I'd trade Tanev for Duchene. Tanev's so smart, incredibly poised defensively, and has a fantastic cap hit in a market where D men are coveted at a high premium.

  5. Makes the Gudbranson deal look like a steal
  6. He's so smart defensively, plays with incredible poise, has elite skating and vision, and a good attitude. This fan base has forgotten about the excitement of a top defensive prospect - looking forward to Olli showing everyone what he's capable of.
  7. Actually, this feels more like the time Mike Gillis announced "From the London Knights" and I thought "Max Domi?" And was like "Bo Horvat? Let me google this kid" Domi is a great young offensive talent, and overcoming the odds with his diabetes is inspirational to say the least. Having said that, I'd keep Bo 10/10 times today, and am grateful we didn't opt for the "higher ranked" Domi. Welcome to the organization Olli, I can't wait to see how you play come September.
  8. When I watch Olli play, I'm in awe of how cerebral he is. Decision making is exceptional, his first pass is incredible, and his skating is elite. when I was growing up, watching Lidstrom play in Detroit was a treat. Never again will there be a player like the Perfect Human, but Olli shows me shades of things that I used to love about Nick. Welcome to Vancouver, I hope you have a long successful career with the Canucks.
  9. I haven't been this excited for a draft in a long time. Giggity. Honestly, this is the time of year I have the most faith in GMJB. My hope is we pick Dubois, but I will be thrilled with whoever we end up with tomorrow.
  10. I would be happy with either of them.
  11. As much as I hate to admit it, we have cap space to spend, and his upside makes him a worthwhile gamble. a $5M/year top-4 RHD man is acceptable if we have our big bad D core balanced out with offensive guys like Hutton. Gud luk!
  12. A true gem, reading some of his comments too, his attitude is fantastic. Thank you, Chris!
  13. He plays a cerebral, responsible game. As a fan, whenever he's on the ice for the Canucks, I feel safer knowing we have our best defensive option out there.
  14. Free assets are always nice. It frees us up to move other assets, in turn improving our overall aggregate asset value.
