  1. Is Prust's time up?

    Yep. On waivers today.
  2. Question About Waivers

With everyone healthy, we're currently with 3 extra forwards (McCann, Prust and Hank sited last game) and 2 defenseman (Weber and Hammer). That makes 25 players. Vey already played 16 games with the team, so he would have to go through waivers, right? Something will happen anyway, that's for sure.
  3. Was the loss to Nashville the deathblow for the 15/16 season?

I don't think it was, especially with our lineup being 100% healthy after the all star break. It will depend on how we fare in the first 7 games, something like that. But I still think we should sell. As said per the OP, our chances at qualifying for the playoffs are very slim, even slimmer on getting past the 1st round as we would be facing a huge opponent. The Canucks have too many holes to beat such great and deep teams as the Kings, Ducks or whatever monster team from the Central. Vrbata won't turn beast mode on like Kesler did against Nashville in 2011 and win the series by himself. Sure, he helps, but not enough so we win the series. Apart from the Sedins, we don't have players who can dominate and take over a match by the horns. Hamhuis is different, he's a big piece to a defense that is already weak. If there's a good deal for him, do it. Hutton's playing PP, PK, he's great and already filling his role. But otherwise, try to sign him for a couple more years.  Trade the veterans. Play the kids. It will be more fun to watch and cheer for the Canucks with Jake on 2RW and McCann on 3C. And if they loose, it's fine. The young guys are learning. If they win and get a Wild Card spot, holy crap. I'll watch every game cheering as much as I can. But honestly, it's not that exciting with that much veterans in the lineup while the rookies watch from the press box.
  4. [Signing] Wild re-sign Jared Spurgeon

    Muito bom. Seriously, good contract.
  5. [GDT] Dallas Stars (1) @ Vancouver Canucks (10), 7pm Pacific

Hutton taking the warm up but apparently not playing. Not rushing his return?
  6. [GDT] Vancouver vs Minnesota at 4:00pm

That was the best 2nd period the Canucks played all season, it was fantastic to see Vrbata scoring and McCann playing well in all zones. Sedins were good again, Hansen is playing amazing, Horvat's line held his own and the 4th line did its job. Lots of positive. I just couldn't stand seeing Sbisa and Bartkowski do a bad job in front of Miller on the Wild's second goal with a few minutes to go, sorry if I sounded negative, I just had spit it out
  7. [GDT] Vancouver vs Minnesota at 4:00pm

I just cannot believe how horrible Sbisa and Bartkowski were tonight. Our D sucked pretty bad, but my goodness, how can you play those two in the last minute to hold a lead?
  8. [Report] Travis Hamonic on the trading block

Yes, but at what price? They seem to want either Tanev or Edler +, and I assume that + must be one of our top prospects who are playing in the NHL right now. I agree he would be a perfect fit for us in terms of cap hit and age, but I would rather keep the pieces they're asking.
  9. Anton Rödin Talk

I don't think that applies anymore. Burmistrov to the Jets nor Radulov to the Preds a couple seasons ago had to go through waivers. And we still have his rights until 2018, so I think it's fine
  10. JB sends out scouts to watch Swedish Leagues leading scorer - Anton Rodin

Those last 2 goals were really good snipes. Very quick release and still precise
  11. [Report] Travis Hamonic on the trading block

I agree with that. The only way we're upgrading our defense is if we get Hamonic but keep Edler, Tanev and Hammer/Hutton. I think our D core would still look weak if we traded any of those guys for Hamonic. Sure, it would be an upgrade, but still not good enough. Don't overpay and wait for free agency and draft.
  12. JB sends out scouts to watch Swedish Leagues leading scorer - Anton Rodin

Playing great after recovering very fast from a broken bone. Very impressive
  13. [Report] Travis Hamonic on the trading block

Trading our only legit RHD in Tanev makes no sense. Having Tanev and Hamonic on our top 4 would be very solid, though. Sbisa may actually make sense, similar salary, 2 years left on his contract. The Isles have cap space, Vrbata would complement the deal, perhaps with another prospect since he's an UFA. But as said on this topic before, EDM may have the upper hand. Eberle has more value than Sbisa/Hamhuis + Vrbata. CGY can offer Brodie, they'd have Hamilton, Wideman and Hamonic as RHD. I'm not sure if the Flames would do that. WPG can offer Byfuglien and a forward like Burmistrov. Their RHD would be Myers, Trouba and Hamonic. I'm not sure if Hamonic is an upgrade on Big Buff, but his contract would make up for it.
  14. Watched the Habs playing the Avs yesterday and they screwed up big time in the 1st, allowing 3 goals while playing better than Colorado. Canucks should pressure from the beginning and give Condon some trouble. Expecting a good game from Markstrom and a 2-1 win!
  15. Didn't know Wilson transitioned to center, thought Ribeiro still played 2C there. Anyway, he would be a great add to their top 6. Forsberg - Fisher - Neal Marleau - Wilson - Smith Legit top 6.
