  1. He got elbow to the head. Thankfully, all good, no concussion, just a shiner
  2. The only thing that I found in Russian language internet was news from July 10 that Zlodeyev had (at a time) a contract with Spartak Moscow until the end of 23-24 season and that he was invited to the Canucks training camp. The article also said that if Zlodeyev attends the camp he will be in violation of section 1.6 of chapter 5 in KHL regulations. Of course, I looked it up and that’s where it gets weird. Chapter 5 is “Responsibilities of the Player”, but section 1.6 states that the player must pass anti doping course online. If anything, some other sections might apply here. For example, 1.4 - “Participate in sport competitions only at the direction of the club”. Or 1.29 about “providing professional services exclusively to the club…”. Or the closest must be 1.33 - “Not to play for any other team and not to participate in any other sport activities without written permission of the club”. Yet there’s nothing anywhere about Zlodeyev’s contract being terminated.
  3. Lol, if you knew the kid, you would know that channeling Virtanen is simply not possible for Danila :-)
  4. It looks like Danila will have a new number - he's listed as #18 on the Young Stars roster instead of #46.
  5. From what I hear, Tolopilo looked better than Martin during these last few weeks of informal skating.
  6. "Couldn't of"? Thank G-d this illiterate is no longer our captain :-)
  7. I want to see Klimovich given some games this season.
  8. He only has 3 years left on his contract, including this upcoming season. So, in 3 years his contract will be gone regardless. And in 2 years - it's highly likely he's either traded or bought out.
  9. Garland on the roster in 2-3 years? That's quite a reach. Put Klimovich on Raty's right side - and we've got a very nice roster.
  10. I’m glad not to see Danila on the list. Says a lot about his position on the team.
  11. Strange, as a sub for a real Rolex, you should understand the value of depth subs...
  12. It all looked good until picking Mitchkov with the 5th pick...
  13. Simply looking at the numbers in the screenshot tell me this calculator is bs. Income tax is progressive tax. You don’t pay the top tax rate on your entire income. Here goes the credibility…
  14. I already mentioned it inside the thread but should probably post it here in the open as well. What’s the point of having Off Topic section at all if such an important and history defining event of our lifetime as the war in Ukraine can’t be discussed here. Practically every thread in this section has been derailed by the trolls at one point or another. One example i brought up - terrorists succeeded by targeting the flights by making the security experience a nightmare for the air travellers. If a troll now has a goal to kill a thread, all they have to do is to derail it enough times before it’s killed. Also, think about it from another angle - would you move the thread discussing World War II in 1941 because some trolls would try to peddle German propaganda in it?
  15. It always makes me laugh when people talk about “low tax” in Florida (and some other states). Do you guys realize that US tax structure is very similar to Canadian? There’s a much larger federal income tax that everybody pays. In the US it’s 37% for the tax bracket NHL players are in. I’m not saying state/provincial taxes are not important, but they are much smaller compared to the federal tax.
  16. He can’t skate. I wouldn’t have a problem with very low offensive numbers for 12/13th forward if he could skate. But he can’t.
  17. Only if he has grown an inch in the last year lol
  18. I agree, Artur is about 6’2”. He’s about the same height as Danila.
  19. I highly doubt he will be dropping them often - he hates fighting.
  20. And never will be :-)
  21. Actually, Stalin and Hitler are a lot more alike than different. Surprise... As for Putin's economy - you are only looking at the economic situation in russia in the recent years. In first years of his presidency russian economy was doing extremely well. So, who is cherry picking, really? Or is your cherry-picking more legitimate because you are "history graduate"? Anyway, as others rightfully mentioned - this topic is about Elias Petterson's King Clancy nomination. I'll be happy to continue this conversation in other, more appropriate threads.
