  1. Real talk, I think Brady would dummy Matt in a fight, but Matt would probably pull some cheap below-the-belt crap.
  2. impressive.
  3. Reporting live from the nation's capital

    1. Zoolander

It's too hot to sleep ... I missed GoT but successfully located the local LC and am riding quite the buzz at the moment. Not regretting the decision to send it on a Sunday, but I might tomorrow....very excited to see Trudeau's lair

  4. I just rifled through a few highlight videos on youtube. It made me realize (or actually 'remember') how gifted Jake actually is. His skating, power, and shot are really a step above most of the Comets roster. We were naive to think he was ready for the NHL mentally, but physically he is. I really believe it's just his confidence and maturity that needs to catch up with him, and that'll take time. When the time does come (this season, or the next) I think he'll show everyone some brilliance and carve out a nice career in Van.
  5. Please no. JVR wouldn't help us right now, he's already peaked. The Tanev conversation would need to start with A: Liljegren or B: Nylander Anything else and it's not worth it. We can find another partner to dance with.
  6. This video really shows how valuable character is in the locker room. Thank you for sharing.
  7. I voted Juolevi because of his hockey IQ. But Demko is a very close 4th. After that, I'll be voting for Lockwood. He's going to surprise so many people it's insane
  8. I like the optimistic vision better myself:p
  9. 6.25mil wouldn't be bad if we locked him up long-term (5years) I would still prefer a bridge deal @5 mil for 3 years though...
  10. Next year should be interesting to watch. Each offensive line seems to have a point-producing duo, and there are multiple floaters able to move up and down the wings. Take a look for yourselves: 1) Daniel - Hank - RW1 2) Baer - Horvat - RW 2 3) Gagner - Sutter - RW3 Rotating Wingers: Boeser, Granlund, Eriksson, Burmistrov, Goldobin, Virtanen, LaBate, Gaunce, etc Pretty cool!
  11. Edit: "Burmistrov to Goldobin, cross-crease to Yakupov!" *red light goes off" *The three comrades rejoice after sticking it to the capitalist pigs*
  12. This is very Higgins-esque
  13. So proud of what Benning and co did in this draft. 1) Elias Pettersson: fills the need of a playmaking center and solidifies our offensive depth down the middle (Horvat, Pettersson, Gaudette) 2) Kole Lind: is LITERALLY a ROCKET. The guy's production has exploded exponentially over the last 3 seasons & he plays for a great organization. 3) Jonah Gadjovich: has an unreal highlight package. He has the frame and offensive talent to play a top 6 role. I can see him having a long career in Vancouver by parking in front of the net. He could thrive alongside a sniper like Boeser because he can put home the rebounds. 4) Michael DiPietro: has unreal numbers and just won the Memorial Cup. Great insurance and/or trade bait. 5) Jack Rathbone: Smart defenceman with character and offensive upside. A clone of Stecher, and that's a complement. 6) Petrus Palmu: Probably the player I'm most excited about. Filthy hands and is strong on his feet despite his size. I could see him thriving alongside other quick thinking players like Baertschi or Goldobin. All-in-all, we stocked our cupboards very nicely!
  14. I'll be living in Finland for 4 months starting in the Fall. Will update and confirm their strangeness level.
  15. I thought I was a smart kid...then I tuned in to the Scripp's Spelling Bee #nope
