  1. It's a reasonable offer, however this is Palat we are talking about. Anyone thinking Palat is just a second line-player, will be pleasantly surprised by him if we were to get him he would be great on the first line **Once the sedins are gone :(**. TB are in a win now sort of mode, however Yzerman isn't throwing out the kitchen sink really to get that cup, he's still building and the prospects Tampa have managed to keep on board show that. Hansen has a very, very reasonable contract and he is highly talented, works hard, great defensive tracking. He gets points as well, but Palat is a 60 point kinda guy he's proven that as he's achieved that. One of Tampa's most loved lines is the triplets line, although there is some fear that once you break that triplet line the respective players suffer points wise, which is something if the Canucks were to take them on I would be slightly fearful of, not quite to the extent of splitting the Sedins of course! But Johnson and Palat have played together since the AHL days and have a great chemistry. From Tampas perspective getting rid of Filppula is a better option he's got that NTC and his production is declining however his defensive play remains solid. **Can't comment on Jordan Subban haven't seen enough of him to make a solid judgement* Overall, I feel it's highly unlikely Tampa would accept this. Getting rid of Bishops contract remains a priority for cap space and the recent buy outs are helping a little bit, get rid of Filppula and that makes the situation much, much better. Tampa maybe slightly win now but they have a young core and they will be around for a few more years Palats only 25! You also have to think from TB perspective will Hansen really deliver for them on the second line while playing with Kuch and Johnson or would he be able a good fit on the first line play over Killorn to be with Stamkos and Drouin.
  2. Watch Tampa Bay all the time, yes Vladdy is loved at Tampa. He also had a bit of a break out season this year. Personally can't see him being taken in the draft expansion over others but come on... Gaunce or Cassels- 2 way contract gives them flexibility of having him in the A without needing waivers Rights to Grenier- Gives them a cheap W option who likely signs a 2 way deal. Columbus 2nd round pick 17/18 whenever they give it up for the Torts hiring Those are horrible offers for Vlad, this is a guy nowhere near his prime getting 35 points on a third line, also played second line during Stamkos's abscence as Tyler Johnson was bumped up to the first line. If you want to be realistic in getting Vlad you need to offer two things which Tampa like, a Big C on the third OR a Defence men of quality at a good price. The first option we simply can't offer that, Defence men perspective we need our D. So it would be a real long shot going for Vlad But... if the canucks got him I definitely think he has second line potential, he's proven that this season without a shadow of a doubt, he's just on a super stacked team, although at times such as the toronto game this season in January he was given 20 minutes of ice team, he's a trusted player. Would him to play for us but I'm not sure we can offer anything that Yzerman will think okay, i'll have some of that.
  3. Win or lose, i'll still be up at 3:00am in England to watch the canucks play. I personally found the canucks rather fun to watch compared to other teams last season, but I might have massive bias here.
  4. Maybe the guys down in Nashville are on to something only drafting D-Men. Prices of forward seem to be rather low. Either way you look at it Taylor Hall is a fantastic player, I'm glad he went to the devils they are a franchise that needs some luck after losing Parise and Kovalchuk for nothing.
  5. I don't see Tampa doing this at all. The fans have fallen in love with Drouin, coaches coming out saying they never pulled the plug on him. Put it this way Jon Cooper has been having Drouin out there with average ice time of 17:39, that's 2 SECONDS less than Tyler Johnson. His hands are also magical and he has been piling up those assists. He's third in points in the playoffs for Tampa. Don't think there's a chance they trade him unless it's something insane coming back their way. Tampa needs young D-Men that's the priority, yes they can draft a good D-men at 5th, but imagine how much of a fool Yzerman would look if we he trades Drouin and loses Stamkos? No matter what anyone says Drouin is a 1st line calibre player, just watch his play. If you have any doubt of how much lover he is now getting in Tampa just read : http://www.tampabay.com/sports/hockey/lightning/jones-jonathan-drouin-goes-from-villain-to-lightning-savior/2275454 Now I might have some bias because I do watch every single Tampa game living in the UK, so the time zones more forgiving. But honestly why would Tampa do this seriously? Also if for any minute you think Tampa would consider taking McCann and a second. Just look down the C prospect pool for Tampa Bay. Mitchell Stephens and Brayden Point. As canucks fans we do tend to over-value our players/picks but sadly for us the rest of the league doesn't value our picks/players as highly as we do. Also when dealing with Yzerman a man who plays hard ball until he gets a deal he likes makes our chances of striking that great deal even lower. On a side note... If we had Drouin now that would be something, him feeding Boeser in with those magic hands, fans would get a show every night.

  7. As someone who watches every game TB play due to being in the UK. From a Tampa Bay perspective I wouldn't go near this deal at all. Why? Drouin has been playing rather well for us in the play-offs and is starting to show his potential, plus potentially losing stamkos this summer means we need someone to step up and Drouin is showing that he can step up. It seems he is ready to put his head down now. Trading Deangelo makes no sense at all he is our best defensive prospect I would argue over slater koekkoek. Also we have an ageing D-line and getting more defensive players remains our priority this trade makes no sense for TB. Tampa Bay has a very deep pool in the forwards area and McCann, Baertschi, Rodin. Would add nothing to the team where would they play? The skilled players here aren't good enough for our 1st and 2nd line. They aren't gritty enough for the 3rd and 4th line. This would be a cope out of a deal, not worth it at all for TB, it's rather one sided.
  8. Why can't we get the 2017 1st Pick in the 1st Round. Get it Done NOW GM.
