  1. Bo Horvat | #53 | C

Would be so nice if we could find a way to get Domi with Horvat in their primes.
  2. Do the Canucks have what it takes to trade up to #1? Probably not... but just wondering.

Thanks for the input guys. Man, it would've been nice to see Dahlin with Pettersson... hopefully we get Boqvist but I don't know if he'll fall to 7th either...

      ah no worries

elias and dahlin will play many games for sweden

      in the upcoming years

      at they olympics

      and other international tournaments

so you'll be able to see them

doesn't matter if the canucks have enough. no one is giving up number 1 pick.

  3. I personally would do the deal if it involved Tanev. I mean he's going to what? Terrorize us by playing 40 games for Edmonton a year? He'll probably play 4 more seasons in his prime and it'll be like a grand total of 70 games played. Good for LTIR I suppose... assuming the Oilers actually make it to the playoffs... He's definitely one of my favorite defenseman on the Canucks (not saying a whole lot since most of them suck) but looking at it objectively I think it's a good idea. Assuming we select 9 and 10 after this deal, we get a shot at any two of Boqvist, Dobson, Hughes, Bouchard, and Wahlstrom. That's potentially a full first line on defense. Not to mention, we increase our odds for the first overall pick...
  4. Jake Virtanen | #18 | RW

Matthews has 1 point and is a -4 vs Nylanders 1 point an -2. Both are worse than Virtanen, am I right? Total trash players, wouldn't trade them for a broken skate. But on a serious note, I'm counting on Jake to have a big summer. If he doesn't put up 40pts by 22, then I guess we expected too much out of him.
  5. Brett McKenzie | C

Could take a Darren Archibald progression.
  6. At least get Nyquist for what you're giving up. What a brutal trade
  7. All time Czech, Russian and Finnish Canucks

He meant Evgeny Namestnikov who was a former Canuck draft pick and is now a scout for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
  8. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

To be fair, mine was sarcastic... I liked Konecny but I was happy with Boeser in the end.
  9. Elias Pettersson | C/RW

SHL's current leading point scorer Ryan Lasch apparently got injured. From what Google's translations tell me, it was apparently quite serious (though I'm not sure by how or why). Obviously very sad to see someone injured (especially a serious injury), but the silver lining for us is that Pettersson will have the opportunity to regain the lead in scoring, probably win league MVP, and if possible, will break the record for U20 scoring of all time. The hype is real- if we get Dahlin with Pettersson, we will never have to worry about our PP again.
  10. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

LOL Brock has surpassed Sutter in less than a season... (or at least he will).
  11. Brendan Leipsic | #9 | LW/C

Correct me if I'm wrong (as the video quality was -5 pixels), but it seems like Leipsic stops moving his feet from even before the red line, glides into the hit (nor does he jump into it either), and the chest also seems to be the principle point of contact. Looks clean to me - Kolesar should've had his head up...
  12. Brendan Leipsic | #9 | LW/C

Wow, this guy is a lot better than I thought. Fits in perfectly with Horvat and Boeser. That combination of speed, hands, playmaking and the grit to win puck battles to free up the puck for Horvat and Boeser makes him a perfect fit- definitely adds the missing element that Baertschi could not provide to that line.
  13. Adam Gaudette | #88 | C

Comparisons are to Mike Richards. Ryan Kesler is comparable if Gaudette can learn to be as fast.
  14. Hahaha it's a copy pasta. BM is making a joke.
