    For those of you worried about Hughes' height, The Sabres' coach Phil Housley is 5'10" and he is in the Hockey Hall of Fame for his play as a defenseman.  And he did it in the 80's & 90's when the game was MUCH rougher than it is today.

      This is showing what I've been saying for a while.  The Canucks and Sabres have very similar needs.  Both skilled offensive defensemen and line depth.

      He looked frail, but he’s young and I’ve seen guys at the height and weight that look bigger because they had more muscle less bodyfat.  So a body recomp at his age would be relatively easy.

       

      Ive never seen Hughes play, but if he’s shifty like Gaudreau/Kane..he prob doesn’t even need to worry about packing on the muscle.

      He'll pack on muscle and density as he ages.  Your body doesn't stop growing/changing until around 25.  I'm not worried about Hughes at all.
