That's on Demko. Up 4 to 2 he lets in the third one a not great goal and then brutal effort to let in the tying goal. Then beat again (actually twice more but one didn't count). I mean you need your goalie to close out the win but with goaltending like that who can win a game? Martin please. Demko needs to sit out for a couple weeks and figure out what his job is. Enough is enough. Guys numbers are absolutely awful and we should have won that game.

Yes. It is not money. the Aquilinis came within a game of winning the cup in 2011. Don't forget that. Their ego is such that they came close and for the last 10 years have been trying to do it again. That is what has coloured their thinking and caused them to pick shortcuts. It's not the playoff money. That's relatively peanuts and not a motivator for a family with this kind of money.

Aqualini family is worth 3B plus. Canucks and related real estate are worth 1B. Playoff revenue is 10M to 50M depending on how far you go. That is 1% to 5% of the value of the franchise. Not buying what you're selling partner.

Anyone who thinks we are going to tank is delusional. JR has a couple of years until retirement. He is not here to tank and start a rebuild. We will have some trades and a shot at a rebuild on the fly. Period. Whether or not that is the best plan is completely irrelevant to the reality of what will happen.

I expect Demko starts his turnaround now. He's too good to stay with numbers so far off his career averages. He will start playing better now and his numbers will regress to the mean.

There are only 3 things to consider: 1. This team can score. That is a very good thing and should not be overlooked. 2. We need Demko to return to close to bubble boy. if not we won't win much. 3. We need to add 2 top 4 D. I like point 1. Point 2 has a very good chance of happening. Point 3 is the big question. How to do that with limited cap and limited assets to trade without screwing up point number 1? If JR is any good he will figure it out. If not he will dismantle the team after another year or so of losing. We shall see...
