I don't think they are embarrassed that is the problem.. I think they are scared. They are mentally weak. They can't hold a lead. Their leadership is passive. They are lost. If they were embarrassed it would imply they believe they can do better. I don't know that they believe that. They will likely keep losing until everyone has written them off before they play better. Then they can play without expectations of making the playoffs and have no pressure on them. That is who this current team appears to be.

I think this team wants to go on an extended losing streak so they can have lowered expectations and cruise through the season without pressure to make the playoffs. They don't have what it takes to be a winning team. They fold like a tent when they are expected to hold a lead. That's a head problem.

We can't hold a lead in the 1st 2nd or 3rd. Wow. Three games in and this team is in a freefall. There is a head problem here. They don't believe in themselves and even though they can score goals they can't play hard and tough enough to close out games and win. So they just lose over and over again. And no this isn't an overreaction. We all have lived with this team's 10 year rebuild only to witness this.... Personally I am disgusted that I re-upped for season tickets again.

With Ferland off and Dickinson moved and the cap going up and Virt and Holtby off the books the Canucks will have some 6.6M to sign Horvat Kuz and Hoglander to increases next year. If Horvat get 1.5 of that and Hogs gets 500k there is some 4.6 to increase Kuz. So he can get about 5.5M on a new deal without us moving anybody. Let's see...

I hope you're right. That means Kuz is north of 5.5 to re-sign - which means he is a hell of a player. Let's see. I expect he is a 25/25/50 guy and 5.5 gets it done. If he is better than 25 goals and 50 points halleluiah!

What was this trade about? - Next year we need to sign Horvat Kuzmenko and Hoglander. The money to do that is 2.4 from Virtanen and Holtby, 1M in cap increase, and the savings on Dickenson (net of Stillman). This gives us money to sign these three guys. I think this trade is really about creating this cap room for next year. I don't think we are spending this new room on a UFA - unless it is a one year deal. (Milano maybe). The future deal will be a trade of 1 or 2 of Garland Boeser Rathbone or Hoglander for a top 4 RD. Swapping cap room for cap room.

Ask yourself this. In a year's time do you want to still be wondering about this relationship and trying to read signals into the limited communication you struggle to have with her - or do you want to be in a new exciting and positive relationship with someone who actually wants to be with you ? Do you want a real, full and fulfilling relationship or not?

Nobody would trade Horvat for OEL. You have to define a return that makes sense. The return has to be a D man who is 26 or under and is a clear cut number 2. Otherwise it makes absolutely no sense to trade Horvat - as that creates a whole at center. I'd rather keep Horvat and clear cap by other means then trade Garland or Boeser for a 3 or 4 this year and use cap space to sign another 4D as a UFA next year.
