  1. I would bet a lot of money that we won't come last.
  2. LA deserves to be punished with their salary cap for this.
  3. I realized that i somehow missed it but have no idea how to delete my thread.
  4. With Jim Benning stating he expects to have an extension signed with Sutter within the next few days (he is apparently in Holland right now), I can already picture the outbursts on these forums once the deal gets announced. With other signings over the past year, the consensus has been that they were over-payments (Sbisa and Dorsett are the main ones), so with that in mind, what do you think Sutter's extension will look like? With Sutter currently sitting at a 3.3M cap hit, and with the fact that Benning gave up some decent assets to get him, I think it's safe to say he is going to get a raise. I think he deserves about 3.5M for a few years, I get the feeling that Benning will pay him about 3.9M per year. I will be seriously angry at anything over 4M. Here's to hoping he doesn't get grossly overpaid. So before you can complain once a deal gets announced, let's hear your realistic expectations for Sutter's contract. This can give us something to look back at to compare with once a deal gets announced.
  5. and you were probably thinking the same thing about Colorado last year...
  6. I went to prospect camp in shawnigan with my buddy and his grandpa. After I left, his grandpa got a chance to talk to Benning, and asked about the Kassian trade. Benning said Kassian had 5 or 6 major problems (he got the feeling that these were personality or drug problems), and that Kassian won't be in the league 6 months from now.
  7. My goalie on the team I played for in Virginia this year played against him his whole childhood, doesn't like him at all LOL. But I think thats to be expected with rivalries and a bit of jealousy!
  8. I snuck out there on my lunch break for around 45 minutes. Holy did Virtanen ever get rocked, he looked pretty embarassed after that. He was getting frustrated all practice, and threw out a couple loud F bombs throughout the drills. some quick thoughts: Subban looked very good. so much confidence and skill, I guess size is the only knock on him but it's hard not to notice him out there. Most impressive player for me. Boeser looked solid, but nothing special, had a good shot, but I believe he is younger than most of the guys out there,so I understand. Jasik impressed me for where he got drafted. looked really shifty and skilled, but small. Same with the Russian Zhukenov, good skill, small, but would sulk and looked pissed off if he messed up. the 6'9'' goalie McLean looked very good, made some crazy glove saves. I liked Evan McEneny, he had some good hands and is huge. Caito was the one who rocked virtanen and someone else during the practice, he looked solid. Also thought Cederholm looked good, could definitely see him in the Canucks lineup within a couple years. It was cool to see some of the talent. I was sitting a few seats away from Benning and Trevor Linden, two kids even came up to me for autographs at Subway afterwards thinking I was a player haha!
  9. great trade, most draft picks don't pan out anyways. the draft is just deep in terms of top talent, not 2nd round depth...
  10. Don't twist an ankle while you jump out of the bandwagon. Good riddance. I'm excited to see who the true fans are over this upcoming "retool". The bad fans tend to be the ones who became "Canucks fans" once we had success anyways.
  11. ummm, i was at a game a few years ago where they lost 8-7( I think) to the oilers!
  12. "Kassian with the Gordie Howe hat trick"
