I like Acciari. Plays hard and a “wall guy” that Tocchett covets. If they can get him at a palatable price, him and another C/Winger would be great. Then the three of them (including Aman) gives Tocchett options. I think Aman is going to take another step next year, not a huge one but we will see progression. Having guys like Acciari to help insulate off nights/provide some grit will be really helpful

I had Benson as one of my boom/bust picks, but I think Moore is in that same category. People poo poo on his IQ but Im not worried about it-that’s what good development/coaching/systems are for. And with his elite skating ability, he can be F1, and heck maybe even beat F3 on the back check. I like Danielson too, but I lean towards Moore a bit.

WSH isnt scared by taking RUS players, and after hearing Simashev interview on D&D, it’s all but certain he is coming to the NHL/has a great attitude

My off the board prediction: Michkov goes before WSH’s pick and they select Simashev

Im happy w this scenario.

TW edge work is very very good-its one of his best attributes and why scouts describe him as such a good skater. His agility is arguably better than Simashevs but he’s not 6’4” either.

Im not so sure about that. Wallinder playing in the NCAA is a great development path. He plays a very NHL projectable game imo. Simashev says he wants to be a better defender-that type of development would bode much better on the smaller ice. He will have to make adjustments once he comes over. But he is talented so Im not too worried about it. Either way I see both being future NHLrs. Might even be splitting hairs between the two when all is said and done, other than LH/RH

People that follow COL closely have often said Newhook is frustrating to watch. Probably the growing pains of a young still finding his way. MTL is probably a better situation for him, and COL cant afford to ip his cap hit.

What I want the Canucks to do: IF Benson/Willander/Moore/Danielson/Simashev are still available at 11OA THEN Trade back w NSH and gain at least a second round pick. There’s some guys slotted to go after the 1st round that were mentioned on 32 thoughts that could be draft steals (Lind, Burns, Goldsmith, Ritchie-maybe)

After hearing Simashev on D&D he shot right up my rankings lol. Seems like a solid kid.
