Burrows is, and always has been, one of the smartest players on the ice, plus he works hard every shift and is a real team player who leads by example and willingly accepts ANY role the coach gives him. Effective both offensively and defensively, he is a very important part of this team, even if he is nearing the end of his career. I don't think his value to the Canucks, now or over the years, both on the ice and in the room, can be over-estimated. Plus, he's such a great guy. Just watch a few of the thousands of interviews he's given over the years and consider his tribute to fallen friend Luc Bourdon.
