Bayern are through for sure imo, Barca just hasn't looked right this season. I cant really see Madrid keeping a clean sheet as well as scoring 3 at the Burnebeu. So its looking like an all German Final, which i couldn't be more happy about. Germany has the best squad in football atm and im glad they are being rewarded for it. Look out for Germany at Brazil 2014, that team is going to be scary good. Neuer Lahm - Hummels - Badstuber/Boateng/Mertesacker - Schmelzer Schweinsteiger - Gundogan/Khedira Muller/Ozil - Gotze/Ozil - Rues/Podolski/Schurrle Klose/Gomez/Muller/Rues MAAAAAN that is an insanely industrious, skilled, pacey and experienced squad that will crush teams in the air and on the counter attack. Klose may be a stretch, but i would love to see him pick up a goal or two in the early stages of the tournament and tie or become highest scorer in world cup history.

I would go with Munich, its an awesome city, plus you maximize time in Germany which once your there you will want to do. It was my favorite country when i traveled Europe.(No offence, scotland was awesome too)

Are you kidding me? Firstly, I have no idea where you get this idea that Germany is lacking in defence. Hummels has been arguably the defender of the tournement, Lahm is the best Fullback in the world and Badstuber is one of the best young CB's in the world. Secondly, Germany has played WAY more difficult matches then SPAIN or ITALY and won most in more convincing fashion. Look at the Germans match's : Portugal-arguably best counter attacking team in football) and they have the second best player in the world. Denmark-great young side, played a good tournament if they weren't in group of death. Holland- Best attacking side in the world on paper, ill admit they had a bad tournement but i beleive that is partialy because after a bad opening game they played portugal and germany. Greece: Not the greatest side but have been known to cause trouble Now Spain's match's: Italy-second best team in group, have done nothing to make me think they can win this tournament, other then Pirlo no one has been consistently good. There not playing a stinky defensive English side this time and against Germany they better be ready to be dominated in possession like they did to England. Croatia- A decent young squad, I would put them at or just above the same level as Denmark. Ireland- EASILY the worse side in the tournament. French-this match was extremely close until they got 2nd goal in the dieing embers of the game. So in conclusion I strongly disagree with you and think that anyone who has watched the majority of this tournament would/should see that Germany is the strongest side atm and should win. Stranger things have happened but I just cant see anyone beating Germany. PS. Spains back line is very vulnerable without CP

This is a little off the current topic of the Euros but as this is The Official European Football Thread I suppose this post still belongs here. I will state that I am a relatively new football fan. I first came to love "The Beautiful Game" a few years ago when some friends and I were travelling in Europe. While in London we wanted to see a soccer(what I used to call football) match and the only teams we knew of were Man U and Chelsea. It worked out that Chelsea was the team we ended up seeing and I have been a fan ever since. So as an admittedly knew fan, I was wondering what other fans thought about the biggest, and really only problem in football, diving. How and when did diving become so frequent/acceptable in this game? Is it just to hard to tell a dive from an actual foul? I know officiating in all sports is not perfect, especially hockey, but nothing in the world is more annoying to me then diving in football. It may be just a completely ignorant North American mentality but how do the players get away with this? Do they not feel shamed by looking like a Nancy and geting brushed in the face with a pinky finger and rolling around on the dirt clutching there face like they received an upper cut from Mike Tyson? I for one would feel embarrassed if I seen my self on TV geting knocked over when the opposing manager sneezes on the sidelines and I scream bloody murder and lay on the pitch for 10 minutes. Am I completely out of line saying this or do others agree that its a major problem? What happened to pro athletes being tough?

After the opening 20 minutes or so It looked like it was going to be a great match, unfortunately Holland did what they do best... that squad has no cohesion or heart, in the end im glad there out, as they dont deserve the knockout stage.

I agree, two quarter final games are ruined. I have nothing invested in either Poland or Czech but I found my self hating the Czechs more and more as the game went on. They go down easy and play a stinky brand.

Denmark 1 Portugal 1 ,with Ronaldo(21) and Eriksen(56) scoring. and Germany 3 Netherlands 2 , with Gomez(44)(70), Gotze(81) and RVP(36), Van Bommel(65) Now hopefuly gotze gets the start...would love to see what he can do at an International Level What do you guys think
