Last GDT I called out people who predicted a high scoring game. So this time I will say nothing regarding the score and just hope the boys show some fight, play the whole 60 minutes and regardless of the result come away with some positives. It's all about looking to the future now and taking baby steps now to get us there quicker.

Whats with these predictions of 6+ goals? lol...not this Canucks team, sorry. I'm going with another low-scoring, slow, defensively focussed game and a 2-1 win. Garrison and Burrows.

Absolutely brutal. I feel bad for the Canucks fans that paid money to attend this game (if there were any?). The way they're playing I wouldn't be surprised if we see a drop off in ticket numbers. Time to clean the house out. Luongo, Kesler, Edler, bring in some youth, bring in an offensive minded coach and lets go!

How do you know that? I agree with you, but everything they've said in public this year has indicated the opposite. Just curious what makes you think you know different? (Like I said, I agree with you though and don't think they're huge fans.)

Exactly man. It clearly isn't the right system for this team of players with their skill sets. It's no coincidence that every player suddenly has a career worst season offence wise the same year Torts comes in and implements a pure defence, shot-blocking minded system.

PK has been great this year but thats been the ONLY improvement! It's absolutely brutal watching a team with no offence. I agree with some earlier posters when they say I don't think Torts coaches offence at all. How could a team mostly build of slick passing, quick, effective, offensive minded players not score?? It was NEVER this bad under AV. Not saying I want AV back, I'm just saying it's not all on the players for their lack of scoring because they were scoring more than this last year.

One of the worst games i've seen the canucks play in a few years. No urgency, no heart; nothing. They're playing like they're down 5-0. Put your f**king heart into it, c'mon man, this is crazy! I just don't think Torts is the right coach for this team and definitely not for a re-building team. He has killed ALL our offence with his shot-blocking and defensive minded systems!

He might be injured, equipment issues etc. who knows.

Seems he is playing really well for Kingston. Scoring has picked up considerably and has a career high already. Anyone has been following him closer have any insight on this kid? Projected to be a depth defensemen? AHL career? etc. 31 points in 53 games for a defensive kinda guy who has had to come back from his injuries seems pretty solid??

Don't get bummed out bud! Regardless of win or lose you'll still have an amazing time. The atmosphere and the whole experience is incredible and will make your night! I hope the boys fight hard and pull out a win from their magic box for your first game!!! I'm not very hopeful about this game though - That centre depth is absolutely brutal. Who knows though, this is a fresh start with a bunch of young players and veterans looking to get out of their slump looking to prove themselves before the trade deadline. We have a LOT more to lose than St Louis so maybe we will come out all guns blazing! Go Canucks Go!

I'm more shocked and annoyed at St Louis being dropped and Kunitz staying. I agree, Luongo should be starting and it should be his net to lose, but either way i don't think goaltending will lose us the game. However, no way should Kunitz be in over St Louis. Ridiculous.

I'm going 5-3 Ducks win. They are just ridiculous at home and with the amounts of injuries we have and how the Sedins have been struggling I just don't see us getting over the top. I'm expecting the Higgins/Kesler/Santo line to have a solid game with 2 goals and 1 from the first line. Go Canucks Go!

We look soo tired and slow out there. I'm not sure if its the defensive, slow style of game the Preds are forcing us to play or just us being lazy/tired, but damn, we look slow.

Buffalo is building a VERY VERY nice group of prospects and picks. If they don't think they'll be able to re-sign Matt they'll move him on trade deadline for another pick (possibly another first) or a nice prospect to a quality team looking to make a playoff run. Potentially two 1st's and a 2nd round pick for Vanek who was VERY unlikely to re-sign at seasons end.
